  • Mimi I had a fall at 35 weeks. Went down really hard but landed on my lower back. Although it gave bubs a jolt he moved in the end to let me know he was ok. You sometimes cant help falling, they should be more understanding :o

As for sickness, I had continuous sickness until 24 weeks. Then it eased if I got my breakfast quick enough. I was nauseous every morning though but wasnt sick every day. It never went away though. I think some people are just lucky not to have it lol.

One of my best friends had her baby tonight, I can't stop crying since finding out, I'm so happy for her. My OH thinks I'm mad :o

We're lucky here, I had a bad tummy and hadn't felt baby move last time and went to see the lovely registrar who was doing his obligatory year in general practice who seemed to be very nervous of pregnancy in general, needed to be shown where to find the heartbeat with the doppler (old pro, me :p) and asked if I wanted him to try and fit me in for a scan! Bless him, he said if his partner was PG he'd spend the whole 9 months a nervous wreck, and he doesn't know how women do it :rotfl:

Hi have just found this thread and I think it is great!
My husband and I already have a beautiful 7 year old daughter and I am now 31 weeks pregnant with our little boy. I am due on October the 13th! I am getting excited now! 7 years is a long time and most of the time everything is new to me again! lol

I think we have just about everything ready. Haven't bought any baby clothes (apart from socks) as friends have kindly given us loads of 2nd hand stuff. Think he will be pretty much sorted in that department until around 3 months. (hows that for money saving? :D) Just need a few more nappies etc and we are good to go!

Whoever said that babies move less in 3rd trimester lied! My little un is going to play for England one day, he has me sooooo sore sometimes. Never mind a happy baby is an active baby. :A

I got a copy of the same letter the gp got.. I opened it to make sure.. not handing over a letter concerning me without knowing what it said! As it happened I dont think the dr got the letter anyway.. I never had a postnatal visit and couldnt have walked there myself.

  • Morning ladies and bumps!!

Can I ask a really stupid question? You know when your midwife says that yous should feel 10 movements in a 24 hour period, is one kick classed as one movement, or is it one period of kicks classed as one movement? I assume it is one kick is one movement but I was lying in bed thinking abut this this morning and got myself all confused.

I'm still suffering with back pain and sleep deprived so forgive my idiocy!
  • Thanks everyone - I remember falling with DD1 but never from the top of the stairs. Didnt sleep well last night, waiting until 9am to ring MW like hospital said.

OH picked a good moment to tell me im pestering him by wanting kisses and by telling him i love him,He said he wants space so I'll (try) and not text him today. DD has already spoken to him this morning, she came into my room asking where he was and then when I was writting my holidays days on the calendar she asked me to write down when he was coming home to see us :(

WonderWomble - I thought it was 10 seperate occassions and not 10 kicks?

    Thanks again x

    Morning all.

    Reached 24 weeks today.

Was sttill having problems believing I'm pregnant- barring a massive stomach and boobs, and pain of course! Most of my friends are also photographers (Our wedding resembled a paparazzi gathering), so after a chat with one, OH and I did a few photos yestarday of us with bump....
Hitchhiker can definitely hear soimething now- when the flash light goes off it makes a whuumph sound first. Was getting a kick every time the sound went, resulting in a few photos where I'm grimacing.

Haven't been on since yestarday morning, is Jcr okay?
