Yes - wasnt a nice way for her - Esp as her boyfriend works abroad so i was worried she was on her own but im probably the last person she wants to see right now.

Oh how awful for her. I have a friend who is pregnant and has basically been told her baby wont survive birth :( I honestly dont know what to say to her, its so awful.

    Congratulations on team pink though!!

Abby - Joshua is gorgeous :) love the name as well, is in our top 5 list!

  • Just de-lurking to say congrats to all the new mummies!!!
Abby, any bloke can be a 'sperm donor', but it takes a real man to be a father, and Joshua looks like he's got a very proud one there :)
By the way Joshua is gorgeous!!

Anyone else whos had a baby find it the most painful thing in the world to wee because of the fact that ones labia feel like they've been shredded? At least I think thats why it stings..Its sooo bad.

And thanks, I know hes gorgeous :P not sure why though....doesn't look anything like me. ha

Oh this is Fluffy last night holding him. He drove 60 miles to come spend about half an hour with me and him. And said last night he cant be bothered to keep saying he isn't the father so has given up and is just going with it.
Now he got his practice drive out of the way with his sister (he had been nervous about driving here having passed his test recently) he is going to come up on Wednesday to see us. Which makes me very happy!

Sorry Twinkle, i only realised today that i hadn't updated my due date from the first one we were given so I've jumped one place ahead, that makes me #10 on the list!

Went to see the midwife today and I'm still 2/5 engaged, but she said for 36 weeks this is fine, discussed my ideas for the birth plan with her and she was really helpful, asked me to write down my plan and take it in in 2 weeks when i see her again. It was quite funny she seemed slightly shocked that i was still working, i didn't realise that it was unusual to carry on working into your 37th week, but apparently not many mums do now? I have been fine throughout though and had no major medical issues so i guess that makes a difference. I am off to see the consultant on Monday and am determined that i want to be put back on midwife lead labour care, i want it in big writing on the front of my notes:)

Congrats to the new mummy's can't quite believe it will soon be me! Love and hugs to all and i'm now off to get on the birthing ball again whilst drinking my RL tea...well can't hurt can it!

The fact is that I no longer have control of some things. This little munchkin inside me chooses when we eat, how often we have to pee, and how tired we are.

And that is still the case after they are born! :rotfl:
I keep having to eat my meals cold because he decides whenever mummy is about to have food that HE should have food instead so mummy gets cold dinners, cold cups of teas.. the amount of times I have had to warm my cuppa in the microwave Im losing count lol. And you cant pee if he wants food so you just have to wait with your weakened bladder :D And tired? You dont get to be anything but lol. They are all little monkeys :p
