Message to baby - while I love feeling your movements all day every day, stretching and getting your feet caught under my ribs is not fun in the slightest for either of us!!!
Lovely pic Sequeena! Thomas is gorgeous!Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -
Awww Sequeena totally lush, I cant wait for my little boy to pop out or be cut out, the way they stretch when there babys is totally mint , if i was to lay on my back and try it i think i would get cramp at the moment tho my baby is layed very aqward and i think on a nerve0

Thank you ladies we are so in love with him!
He was head down for every scan since 28 weeks but the midwives who delivered him think he may have been breech at some point and turned as that's how breech babies like to lay
One of the midwives who delivered him was a student and she was his 40th (graduating) baby
I ended up with some second degree tears but that's it. Didn't need cutting even though I gave birth on my back.
I'm glad I didn't bother writing a birthing plan. I had pethidine which I was totally against but at the time was in agony. Note, for me it only took away the small contractions so I still couldn't get any rest.
I laboured with gas and air then when I was transferred to delivery at 6-7cm. Like I said, gave birth on my back. I tried on my knees hanging over the bed but only succeeded in ripping the mattress apart with my teeth.
I turned out to be a screamer, which sounds very wimpy of meWhen I watched One Born I would !!!!! about the screamers but oh god, no way could I be silent. I did as I was told, chin on chest, push into bum but Sean said to me I pushed him out more when I was screaming than when I was silent.
I apparently didn't believe his head was crowning. They asked if I wanted a mirror to look and I said no, Sean take a picture with the iphone! So yeah, there's a crowning fanny pic on my partners phone which NO-ONE will be seeing :rotfl:
but it was amazing. More painful than I ever imagined, but worth it.Wife and mother :jGrocery budget

Sequeena, He is sooo adorable. Congrats!
Thanks for the thoughts ladies. It was a pretty scary night, with loads of emergency services sirens going off almost constantly through the night, and police helicopters, both getting closer and closer. Luckily it didnt QUITE reach us, but the Tandem Centre, our local retail park, which is about 0.4m from our front door got looted, our Mothercare (shock!) got set on fire, and some looters got stuck in PC world and had to be rescued by the fire brigade: hahahahaha.Wonder_Womble wrote: »
Kira whereabouts are you? I can't believe the mindless stupidity of these rioters, just hooligans who jump on the bandwagon purely because they get off on violence and destruction
I live in SW London- about 10 miles from Croydon and near Colliers Wood. Really never thought it would spread out to where we are, its generally a pretty good area, unemployment isnt high, pretty good ethnic mx etc.Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Sequeena well done!
Haha I'd never let anyone take a picture of that for fear it might turn up on FB, (and I haven't even got FB!) you're braver than me :rotfl:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

I may be alone then in totally not being fazed in the least if DH has a camcorder (He will def have my camera, though whether he uses it or not is different).... It's not exactly something you'd show your friends though.0
