Thanks mimi :) I think I sort of know what I want to happen, just need to get it all down on the plan.

Kira, that sounds so scary! :( I'd definitely keep kitty in tonight, just to be on the safe side xxx

I think the best birth plan you can have is "get it out of me quickly and safely, gimme some toast and a coffee then let me sod off home" :D

Kira - How are things now?

Mimi- congrats on a girl. :) --I think the best birth plan you can have is "get it out of me quickly and safely, gimme some toast and a coffee then let me sod off home- I'm stopping on the way for a nice rare steak and a beer...." DH has been told he can't enter maternity ward unless he's brandishing a Subway.
Sorry to hear about your friend, not the nicest situation to be in.

Kira- I'm coming up on 24 weeks on Friday- yup, there's nothing like the feeling of having eaten a huge steak and a gallon of liquid. I know I'll repeat this probably a few times- but honestly, can I feel any more stretched? It's stopping me snacking endlessly at least, as I feel stuffed most of the time. Hope it isn't that bad where you are now.

Hitchhiker decided last night to test my weak points- and was kicking directly at the ribs I broke a few years ago.... Took hours to get comfortable and pain-free again....

I think if I had ever bothered with a birth plan I'd be upset, because it's never been ideal and there are things you just don't plan for! Pregnancy is very unpredictable, as is labour and birth.

I think the plan just posted was a good one :rotfl:

Think mine would be keep me and the baby safe and keep me informed, and don't try to ram me in the shower ten minutes after giving birth again. :o

Kira I hope you are ok.

I swore I would never have an epidural or a c-section and with DS2 I had both! My advice would be write down some ideas about what you would like to happen but please keep an open mind that these things rarely go to plan. Also consider about when the baby is born - do you want your partner to cut the cord? Do you plan to breastfeed or bottlefeed? Just so the midwives have some idea xx

Good morning :) my baby seems to be using my bladder as a trampoline and making me feel uncomfortable each morning in particular. My heartburn has got worse, and i have been kept awake by it along with baby wriggling about. I haven't felt any 'big kicks' but feel him wriggling around and little prods (usually on my bladder!).

I now finally look more pregnant then fat, hoping people won't just think i've been eating too much now! :)

Does anyone else feel so unfit now? I feel so heavy and with baby bouncing on my bladder-i can't walk as quick as i'd like to and have to take breaks now. I feel like an old person lol.

    Morning,
Hope no-one was too near the insanity that was last night's riots!

I'm 32 weeks now and getting so grumpy. I headed for bed at 9pm last night and practiced my breathing exercises for the first time. Between 9pm and 2am had to go to the loo 3 times :-(
I suppose the upside is that I've still no heart-burn as baby is generally staying low, tho my poor pelvis/hips are uncomfortable, especially if i sit too long.
12 days of work left before holidays/maternity leave. Bring it on!

I'm exactly the same Alison - 31 weeks and miserable as hell! My everything hurts and the antibiotics they've got me on have turned my pee bright green (sorry, TMI)!

DH got the baby clothes out of the loft yesterday and I'd been more efficient than I thought and have got rid of loads, especially the newborn stuff - typical! So after payday I need to go shopping... oh the joy!

Hope everyone is safe, wherever you are in the country. Total insanity. Hope Elvis didn't mind too much being kept in Kira :)

He's not as jaundiced as he looks. Levels last night were 156 :)

Finally getting the hang of breast feeding. So in love :)

Hi ladies, a very uncomfortable DL here :-(. I'm just soooo big but know that I have a max of 3 weeks left.

Re-birthing plans, my midwife said that she finds that the mums with a detailed birth plans are usually disappointed and if I write anything, try to keep it fairly open.
