After my first I said so when can I have the next one??????

36 hours of pain and no food or sleep and I'm not even mentioning the stitches but it was amazing and I loved it

Thats exactly the same as my first labour, except OH passed out in delivery room when they decided i had to have c-section - he saw the epidural needle going into my back and hit the deck :rotfl:DD is now 5 and i have only just managed to get my head around going through it all again! Hopefully this one wont be as big as DD and wont get stuck so i can have a natural delivery xx

Hi everyone. Thought I'd join this group. Didn't know it existed to be honest and looks like there are some really useful links above (might avoid the birth stories for now though :( )

Will have a read of the thread and try and get to know everyone.

welcome. omg you lot have been busy, theres loads to catch up on, labour vibes to those who are in need, and staying put vibes for thomas,

some one asked about getting signed off work, just go and see your gp hun, majority of them are so understanding. my midwife keeps on at me about getting signed off but ive already had 2 weeks off with mrning sickness a few months ago and then i had to have two weeks off because i ended up with stitches in my hand (i run a school kitchen so not good with big cuts everywhere) so dont really want to take more sick time off.

as for baby bumps, mine is huuuuge im just a beached whale, tried to get off the settee the other night and hubby just laughed so hard, he said i looked like a turtle that had landed on its back lol

labour stories oooh are we sharing lol my first i had epidural and fell asleep, took about 4 hrs in alland they broke my waters.

my second i had gas and air, again they broke my waters and it took about 3 hrs. both my boys were as good as gold as babies with sleep and quite contented. now before yo think im quite smug you wrong, lol i just know this one is gonna be a baby from hell just to make up for it lol so scared
now proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j

    Hi all,

Wow what a bad night's sleep - awake again from 3ish to 5ish then dozed a bit, slept in as much as I dare with just enough time to eat and go to work. 3 more full days, can't wait for that 1st sleep in, even though I have lots to do already freelance work wise.

Still need to get a TENS machine, anyone else chosen a fave brand?

    Welcome Mr Knight

Yay for nesting Mrsspendalot I am a happy girl today as I think OH has developed my nesting instinct instead. He bought us a new bed and put it together, bought a new living room rug and has cleaned the entire place - skirting boards and all the rubbish bits that I avoid from top to bottom - he then lectured me on how I need to not make any more mess! Cheeky s0d I didn't even know he knew where the polish was until today :D

Anderson I watched OBEM USA but I hated it tbh! It seems so medicalised and scheduled compared to here, completely the opposite to how I want my birth to be.

Sparkle I have a Mamatens - simply because one of the websites I joined sent it to me to review, it looks quite good though.

Have just ordered Pizza - oops

    Hi everyone! Welcome Mr Knight.

Ive been struggling to keep up but wondered if there has been any news from sequeena?

Nearly 32 weeks and I have the RLT in and waiting. Not sure I'll go for EPO or the other bits. Is anyone else doing the RLT etc?

Operation nursery is under way but judging on the progress today I can't see it being finished any time soon. Bless my pedantic, perfectionist DH. I wish I had the skills of JCR.

I'd say my bump looks pretty similiar in size and shape as JCR. I feel huge though but people say I don't look too big. I don't know but I'm happy and my bump seems to be too so that's all I care about for now!

On the advice from you lovely lot last week we've ordered the angel sound vid monitor with sensor pad. We got it from Boots and is currently £50 off!

Hellooooo I'm back from two weeks in not-so-sunny France. Still was a nice break from work.

Hi Claire, did you fly to France and did you take out travel insurance? If so, who did you take your cover out with?

We booked a holiday in Majorca for September before I got pg, I'll be 29 weeks when we get back and really don't know what level of cover I will need when away.

    TIA
