I would love some 'keep Thomas in!!' vibes if you can spare any. /QUOTE]Could I ask to be sent labour vibes? I'm due on Sat but am ready now!
Lots of positive 'keep Thomas in' vibes for Sequenna and 'get a move on' vibes for SmlSave
I definately feel much more attached to this bump than my previous. Maybe because at 25 weeks his elbows and knees have got very pointy and he's terrible wriggly. Definately feels like a baby in there! After my first was born the weirdness of suddenly having a baby lasted all of 2 seconds before the devotion kicked in. :A
This time I can't wait to hold my baby! Getting very broody!First Baby born January 2007

hi all, i've finally moved up a thread, albeit late, but thats me all over, lol,
i'm 29+2 today. feel baby moving and kicking constantly, which is reassuring but blooming painfull at times, i think she may be transverse from the places i'm feeling most movements!
had my anti d and diabetes test last week, came back ok, so one less thing to worry about.
i should really start to buy things now but i keep getting sidetracked..........hopefully make a start this weekend.
hope everyone is well xSkint, but happy (ish):p0 -

seeing my midwife on thurs, got to have my anti-d. i'm really quite scared, i'm infact more scared of having an injection than i am of giving birth - which my husband and most of family and gp find hysterical :cool: so on thurs i've got to have a blood test swiftly followed by being jabbed with a needleanyone know where they do the injection?
I had my anti-D in the top of my arm - it's not that bad. When I had it with previous pregnancies they jabbed you in the bum or top of your thigh, so I went in expecting that and was surprised it was in my arm. You have to sit and wait for about 15 minutes after in case you have a reaction.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

Has anyone got any experience of being signed off work by the GP? I'm seriously stressed with everything, still getting heart palpitations & bad headaches (& sciatica), can't sleep & no appetite & spend so long getting wound up about everything I think I'm losing the plot - I burst into tears everytime I have to go to work which isn't me at all. I'm now worried about how this is affecting giblet, but scared the GP won't take me seriously & just tell me to get on with it. I'm supposed to be on garden leave from work anyway which I was really looking forward to but it was cancelled & I have to go in full-time with nothing to do all day.
Hi Skinty - welcome over to the big thread
I've been signed off since about 9 weeks with SPD and my GP has been really great about it all. I'd go and talk to him and explain how you're feeling and see what he has to say0 -
winnie the pooh i'm sure it not that bad. i feel massive and i've felt awkward i think for a while, lol.
althought we lost our first i did get big quite quickly with her, so i think my body has just given in and i shoudl just go with flow ,lol. 5 pregnancies in 8 yrs i'm gonna have to accept i'm a beached whale.lol.
i'm so gonna be mega toned and upp together before even comtiplating any future pregnancies,lol.0 -

Ooh - I missed this. I feel the same about injections. At the moment (obviously this may change.......) I'd rather be in agony during labour than have to encounter the epidural needle. DH thinks I'm mad....
Ooh - and what is anti-d for? I haven't been offered that.
xDxFear is temporary, regret is forever.....:happyhear Baby girl born 27th September - 10 days late!! :happyhear0 -
Morning all
Sooooo uncomfortable today and have been all weekend. My bump has changed shape a little, and yesterday the top of my bump was really hurting, like a pulled muscle. I think the baby may have moved down a little, and all the weight was pulling my bump differently. It's gone now. I'm just getting lots of BH contractions instead, hence discomfort. Really wish they would turn into something more exciting! Feels weird knowing that this time next week I might have actually given birth already, or will certainly be in the process of being in labour. Trying to get all the stuff done around the house in preparation.

xDx
Anti-D is only offered to women who have rhesus negative blood group (so A-,B-,AB- or O-).
It's to do with your blood seeing the baby's blood as something which needs attacking and forming antibodies against their blood cells. I, unfortunately, developed antibodies before my anti-D injection this pregnancy so am being induced next week before my antibody levels rise too high and cause a problem
As for the epidural needle, I had one with my 1st baby, and wouldn't put myself through it again. The pain relief was good, but I really didn't like having it done! I'm not needle-phobic either!!!Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

I'm ashamed to say our oven has got a bit minging of late, I was waiting until I got over the sickness thinking I'd be able to stomach the smell but I think it's got worse - can't even hack furniture polish now! Hubby has agreed to do it when I'm on nights :-)
I've got a GTT on the 4th, it doesn't sound pleasant does it?!
Going to get on to Peacocks now and get myself some crop tops, what a bargain price!
Have got myself some yoghurts, and some jam sandwiches in a bag cut into 4's so I can have them as snacks rather than a whole sandwich. I wish I liked nuts though.
SMLSave sending you labour vibes. Hope you get some movements soon.Bump due 22nd September0 -

Same here - I got signed off from 18 weeks with SPD for the rest of my pregnancy until maternity leave kicked in. It wasn't a problem getting signed off at all.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015
