37 weeks today
full term! I cant believe its nearly time, Im so scared lol.
Not only of the birth which is scary enough! But Ive never had to look after a newborn before! I usually just visit newborns and that is it! So that is scary too lol. And now everyone keeps telling me it could be any time now.. eek!
Ive uploaded my bump pic, it seems to be a huge photo though so will just put a link lol http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/1917/365week.jpg

I have a quick question - the midwife has told me to watch out for any change in the pattern of baby's movement and contact her if I'm concerned - well, how long a period would you measure the pattern of movements for? I ask because bub is usually very active but over the past maybe 2 days he's been much quieter. Worth worrying about?0

Ok.. I may hate you too... why are you all making me feel like a big fat porking heifer?????
Don't be scared of the birth.. it hurts like a f***er.. but it is doing what is normal and natural and it'll be fine.. you were made to do this so you can.. one way or another. If it was that bad would people have more than 1?
Trust your body it knows wat it is doing and don't panic about it.. labouring and birth are quite possibly the most wondrous experiences we will ever have.. enjoy it.. most people have only 2 or 3 children and in the broad scheme of things the time labouring is nothing.. enjoy it!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Winnie - I think it's only from 28 weeks that you need to look for a pattern. I've been told that before then the movements you can feel are more random so not to worry if there are a few quiet days.
If you're bothered, probably best to check with your midwife.0 -

I feel really huge compared to the pics too .... I don't even want to take a photo of myself for the memories :rotfl: I look like I've swallowed a beachball - it's all out front.
Yes, giving birth hurts, but like Pigpen says it's the most natural thing in the world for women to do. Your body is designed to do it. I've never given birth and thought 'there's no way I'm ever doing that again'. I'm having #4 next week and am looking forward to the birth now because as much as I know it is going to hurt, it's such a positive kind of pain because every contraction brings you closer to seeing your baby ... and once you have the baby in your arms, the pain seems to just fade away into the back of your mindOlympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

I did see this on Thursday - but the people just drove me mad!! I watched a re-run last night and that made me a bit "eep - I really have to do that myself soon.........."
I'm looking forward to it though - I have zero pain threshold, but am looking forward to my prize instead of thinking about the pain.
xDxFear is temporary, regret is forever.....:happyhear Baby girl born 27th September - 10 days late!! :happyhear0 -

That's actually very encouraging, as although I'm no wimp and have a high pain threshold- I've stitched myself/splinted bones myself etc (active youth!) I can very honestly tell you the labour wasn't exactly up there in my big list of positive moments to experience....0 -
