thanks claire, no i'm not worried. midwife said it just my uterus ( i think ) is irritable due to previous pregnancy. and it all sounds fine. i think i would prob worry if baby didn't move as much or if the pain didn't come and go. but with 3 little ones at home i dont' really get the chance to worry too much as i'm always occupied.

i will keep eye on blood, nothign more, so i'm wondering if i did see anything to start off with now. but having a little bit of awareness isn't a bad thing.

as for the energy i know i keep thinkig don't use it all up,lol. i'm having an easy day tho, just washing, and ironing and cake making. food shopping done and house just needs a quick flick round. noting too much.

PP and Doglover - i have never had thrush, to be honest im not even sure what the signs are - should i be looking out for it?

Believe me if you get it you'll know!!!!!

Think.. wanting to stuff the toilet brush somewhere personal to deal with the itch.

Back from scan .. nothing exciting.. teeny tiny cyst in the brain and the heart septum slightly off to one side.. but I have a family history of heart problems so it was a bit nerve racking but it's ok.. baby large and given this child NEVER moves it was doing river dance on my ribs pushing itself further and further into my pelvis to get away from being looked at!

Squeak pooped on OH as he got her out of the car and then was sick all over me during a coughing fit.. I think I might trade her in for a parrot!

FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD is next on my agenda!

I am also really, really tired today, have little or no motivation and really dont want to be at work! Only 40 working days til Maternity leave and for some reason that feels like forever!

Puzzled Bubbles I have 40 working days left too!!! It has really cheered me up as it sounds so much better than the 10 weeks I was counting (inc holidays).
I also have painful heartburn and now have a big bottle of Gaviscon sitting on my desk.
Hope your tiredness eases!! I am surviving thanks to a daily morning indulgence of a large cappachino :D

JCR - when did your braxton hicks start? I'm almost certain I've been having them but I figured it was probably a bit early at 24 weeks.

Pigpen - sounds like the scan was a bit scary, will the things they found have an impact on the baby?

tiny cysts are very common so is nothing ut they will check the heart after birth to make sure it has closed properly which they do anyway so it is noted and shouldn't be an issue at all really.

I have BH's from about 19 weeks with this one.. they are quite sore now :( They tend to start earlier the more children you have.. but it is quite normal for your uterus to contract and it is just that you can feel these really. We watched them on my last scan. :D

I've had braxton hicks since week 22 and this is my first baby. Midwife thinks it's a good sign. :D

28 week appointment went well - HB is 154bpm, blood pressure spot on, 3 lots of blood extracted without any fainting and my bump measures 28cm. Perfect! :) She thinks he's head down too - stay that way baby please!

    xDx

Winnie , i've had brxton hicks from quite early on. alhough they were alot easier going to start with than they are now. To start with it was just my tummy going hard and tight as baby moved. but now they are quite strong compared to how they were. they last longer and they do make me stop what i'm doing until it passes. sometimes i can't always stay still and if i do carry on it makes them alot more painfull and last longer. So i've learnt to just go with it.

Well reading up a bit but not had chance to read up properly. Whoever mentioned uninvited bump touching I had my first today. I was quite shocked. I'm only 16 weeks so nothing much to see but as I walked into the loo someone walked out had a feell then came back for a second go (worse she hadn't dried her hands lol).

I'm getting quite amazed at 20 week scans and what they can see. I didn't realise they checked so much. I hope the sonographer does mine as I am under consultant care and he sometimes does it but the sonographer tells you so much more (and warms the gel up too).

Well need to so some more I'll have a read up later again and get to know some more of you.

    Hi everyone,

Just a speedy hello and hoping everyone is ok.

Jcr glad you are feeling well and do take care of yourself, check the bleeding is all stopped.

Pigpen hope the thrush eases and I know what you mean re: food, I have to be so careful as all I seem to want is bad stuff right now.

Apricot we're nearly there - a... few... more... days! I overslept this morning and had to get ready and eat in 10 mins flat to leave ontime for work, so tired and very very glad I have taken the last week in June as holiday.
Re TENS machines, I think the MamaTens looks good, was comparing it to the Boots machine and both seem ok, so hard to know what to go for.

Re: Braxton Hicks - I am fairly sure I felt one last night at dinner, was quite sore and I had to just breathe for a bit, not sure though but at 34 weeks I figure it might have been as it went very hard and hubby noticed too. Either that or baby doesn't like macaroni cheese!

    Anyone have any recommendations on:

    - Electric breast pump
    - Steriliser
