Was me, Mr Knight! Yes- It happens me a bit, not overly fussed though. I've only known two of the people who decided to grab bump- seems it's public property now!
I'm coming up to 17 weeks- and starting to feel it. Bump is currently serving (along with my chest) as a universal cup holder, the first point of contact with tables, corners, desks, etc, and an excuse to eat ice-cream. My waist is now 44in (from 28!!!!) and the Wii had a heart attack the other day when I got on and decided to let it measure me cos I was bored.
Weirdly, I keep hearing on here about people saying their stomach is hard- mine's like a rock! Is that okay this early? (Though, actually, just realised I'm not far off half-way....)0 -
Anyone have any recommendations on:
- Electric breast pump
- Steriliser
I've only ever used an electric breastpump in hospital and it was a medela one. I can't really give a recommendation as such, but had a leaflet through from Tescos about their baby event and this http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.206-6772.aspx is on offer at a good price.
When I bottlefed I always used an Avent steriliser and Avent bottles. I didn't bother with a steriliser when I breastfed - the odd thing I needed to sterilise I just used milton and a tupperware tub.
Hope everyone is well? I am having really evil braxton hicks at the moment and am convinced something is going to start and happen soon. They really hurt:(:( DH is in a panic thinking the baby is going to arrive at any moment, but I assured him I would 'just know' if and when it turned into the real thing! 38+3 today so it could be any time now

Hi ladies
Hope all is well (thursh, SPD, BH aside).
BH - I'm not sure I've had any yet, or maybe i'm not paying attention, but at 34+5 i'm quite happy to not be uncomfortable by BH!
Sparkle and Apricot, I'm jealous that you both finish work soon......i have another 13days left. Oh well, at least it keeps me out of trouble!
Now here's a thought and maybe something those non-first timers can help me out on? Size and shapes of bumps.....do we believe the old wives tales about gender based on bump? I was told at scan I'm team pink, but literally everyone who see's me reckons I'm carrying a boy. I'm all out front and from behind can't tell i'm pregnant (so I'm told!)
What do we think, any truth, or are people a bit like me, everyone is different and its however you body copes with carrying a baby??:heart2: Mummy to one gorgeous little girl :heart2:0 -

I'm on #4 and I have 1 girl and this will be my 3rd boy .... I have carried the same every single pregnancy ... all up front and looking like I've swallowed a beach ball, but barely noticeable from the back at all. It's just the way I carry.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

smiley.. it is impossible to tell the sex front the size/shape. I have carried mine differently .. I have 6 girls.. some i was huge and others I was.. well.. less huge lol.. I was probably smallest with DS3, this one and maybe DD4.. DS2 I was bigger than my friend due 3 days after me with twins!!!! People often look at you differently based on how big/small they were when pregnant too.. like jcr thinks she is huge but I get so enormous I think she is tiny.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Smileyface I was told girl at my scan too but am apparently carrying low which should be a boy. Tbh I don't really believe any of it:D
I dont envy you not finishing work yet, it's absolutely doing my was in at te moment - not helped by the fact that I can't sleep at night so am completely shattered every morning!
Sparkle I've bought the TT microwave steriliser and the TT bottles - oh originally bought the avent steriliser but I already had TT bottles and they didn't fit properly so I swapped it. No idea on breastpumps I'm afraid, I have my free Nuby manual pump though - not sure if I would bother laying money out on an electric unless I knew I was definitely goin to use it.
I no longer have a computer in work so am posting from my phone- it's a right pita so apologies for the spelling mistakes etc!:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -

I'm all up front and everyone thinks I'm carrying a boy. First one for me, so who knows!!
xDxFear is temporary, regret is forever.....:happyhear Baby girl born 27th September - 10 days late!! :happyhear0 -
The only one who's told me I'm having a girl is DSD. And being honest, that's out of sheer hopefulness. Everyone else is firmly in the 'boy' camp, but hey, we'll find out in Dec!0

I found the microwave steralizers great, as they kept all the bottles out of sight ready for use. I used Avent bottles and steraliser. I found the bottles great, but there seems to be a knack in tightening them just right so they don't dribble but still release the air.
I used the medela electric pump for a few weeks then later lent it to my cousin who used it for a year. Both of us thought it was great. I had a Tommee Tippee manual pump but it made my hand hurt, although the low buzzing noise of the electric pump never failed to put me to sleep :-(First Baby born January 2007
Second Baby born September 2011 :j0
