  • morning all.

we haven't had any grief about not finding out what we're having, everyone thinks it really nice that we're having a surprise, but even if we did know we wouldn't be saying.

my other half has been mainly really good from the beginning, but that's partly because i was so ill then i couldn't do a thing. he won't let me lift anything heavy, does most of what i ask (eventually) and doesn't get embarrassed when i start crying in public :D but does feel a bit sick when he sees my tummy moving:rotfl:

went to our first antenatal class last night, it was brilliant - well worth the bus trip and walk up hill! - i kind of knew alot of what was said but it was really good to have it all padded out a bit more and hear the hospitals view on hynobirthing, monitoring and the fact that they don't induce before 2 weeks overdue unless there's a problem. also if i don't want inducing at that time, they're (so the midwife said) ok with that but they will have me in for a short time to check things are ok for the baby to stay in a bit longer.

i'm really happy with this as i don't want to be induced unless absolutely necessary.

also found out yesterday a friend is expecting her second baby around january time, cue me blubbing at the bus stop :rotfl:

Urgh - how jealous am I! I finish on 38 weeks and have 2 weeks annual leave before ML starts on week 40!

    xDx

    Snap!!
My mat leave officially started yesterday and I'm due in 2 days!! I'm glad though, I've been a bit bored with mat leave.....but then again, my job is desk based and the chair reclined!!

Apricot - Not the same area then! I really want to get going naturally so I can stay under the midwife led unit......i know induction is 2 weeks away but i DON't want it!!!

Sequeena - Good luck! Although if you queue jump i will cry!

My back ache has gone  no more dia-woo-woo  no loss of any plug  I am just a fat lump with widening hips!! I even DTD yesterday!!!! Grrrrrrrr!! No fair!!!! I think its time for some star jumps! We played a game at the weekend, darts for baby's birthday...I threw Wednesday (as in tomorrow) and both my hubby and brother threw for this Friday! As long as its not Saturday I don't mind!!!

    Hmmmmm, what to do today........

    Morning All!!

Wonderwomble Im sorry your scan didn't go as well as it could have but try to stay positive :grouphugs:

Need to get the car cleaned today, it's absolutely filthy and am going to be flinging OH's golf clubs out of the boot so that when we need to put the pram in, we have room. God knows where im going to put the clubs mind, they don't even get used that often so are not hanging around in the house!

Big hugs and labour vibes to those who want them!

I can imagine it gets wearing when everyone tells you what you should be wanting based on what you have already. As this is my first, everyone just wants to guess what I'm carrying - so far, about 90% of guesses have been for a boy (apparently am carrying all out front and low and from the back I don't look pregnant!).

    xDx

I've had this too. I'm high and neat, and have been told that I also don't show from the back, so it's a boy. It's also apparantly a boy as I've eaten beetroot a few times. And because my hair is suddenly growing so fast (always has!!! I just haven't sheared it yet.). It's a boy as I'm doing boy 'things', like servicing my car or painting (???). It's a boy because I want a steak. It's a boy because my chest is huge. (Again- ???)

I'm going to disappoint a hell of a lot of people if I have a girl!

Is it really bad if I eat my sandwiches already and buy another lunch? (Already eaten my cereal, crisps, cereal bar and a 4 finger Kit Kat - am just so hungry!!)

    xDx

I've done that several times recently. I'm starving again today - had fruit & cereal for brekkie, just had a giant cookie and I'm still ravanous! Going to start on more fruit in a minute!

Does anyone have a 'bump belt' for the car? OH suggested one, but not sure how much point there is?

    Thanks, C xx

My boss thinks I'm having a girl. At first she wouldn't tell me why, then she said it's because I've barely got a bump but my !!!! & hips have spread. I do wonder why I love her sometimes..... :rotfl:

With DD1 I put on loads of weight... went from a size 10/12 to a size 18  and most of that was on my lower half.

Twins I put on almost nothing, went from a 12/14 to 14.

Squeak I didn't gain any, in fact lost over a 2 year period that included the pregnancy, and they were all girls :rotfl:

You can tell I'm PG from any angle after a point... I waddle like a penguin! :o

Don't think I will lose weight this time sadly. Think I will have to mega diet when this one is born... I hate looking the way I do!

I put on up to 5.5 stone with my lot.. this one is probably the least weight I have gained so far.. and less than Squeak when I was quite shocked how little I put on with her too.

I did keep 3 stone from having DD3 though which I am now still lugging about on my very ample derriere..

I am a whale! yet however much weight i lose I still wear the same size clothes which is very disappointing and frustrating.
