Twinkle, it's good that you know how it'll be and as long as you're cool with it that's all that matters. Just to clarify what I mean about my DH being fab - he's decorated the nursery perfectly and put his all into it, he pretends to listen when I talk baby, he's set up and checked the more electronic type bits and has engaged in conversation about names. He has not however got a clue what stuff we do and don't have (but knows I'm a control freak with a thing for prep and lists), he doesn't know what is stored where and if he got asked to bring extra stuff into hospital it'd be a disaster if I don't pack a back up bag. I've planned my return to work and childcare so as not to have to expect him to plan stuff. He'll do what he's asked to do without grumbling but without spelling it out and reminding I can see our baby being left at his mum's until I ask where he is! Anyway, I'm sure you get the picture.

Any further developments Sequeena? Is Ms Apricot lurking or contracting?

    Cross post Apricot!!

Bless your OH, mine just moans that when I'm in bed I drag the sheet with my "weight" and he ends up on bare mattress - bl00dy diddums! Try carrying the "weight" round 24/7!

He is being very sweet in taking on most chores now and I get daily foot/kankle rubs, bless.

We tried DTD earlier - the phone rang and ruined it, then I got cramp. Poor DH isn't getting his quota. I've been one of the no s£x group. I just haven't felt like it so in the last 7 months we've probably DTD 7 times!!

Lol we've only done it twice since the 20 week scan, the first time baby kicked him and that was a complete mood killer and the second time was only last week as a means of induction! :rotfl:

I did ask him if he would paint my toenails and he said he would - Im not really going to make him do it, I was just testing him!

Am really hoping he handles the labour etc well, I really want him to cut the cord but whenever I mention it he just goes green around the gills and says he'll see....blooming wimp!

  • We had our 20 week scan yesterday, performed by the Foetal Medicine Consultant. There seemed to be some confusion over our scan appointment as they had booked us one at the regular ante natal and one at foetal medicine at the same time.

We waited over 2 hours past our appointment, OH left to go put more money in the parking meter when they arrived to call me in. So I asked if they could wait for 5 mins for him to come back and they said fine. 30 mins later we were still waiting, apparently they had taken the next lady in icon_mad.gif

The scan was amazing icon_lol.gif Eugene the Bean was waving at us, and was in the middle of having his dinner because he was opening and closing his mouth loads. It was so cool icon_e_biggrin.gif She showed us a couple of 3D pictures too, but didn't print any as she said he looked like a plastercine baby still!

Anyway, Eugene has a hole in the heart, so we have to see a heart specialist in 4 weeks. He also has an enlarged stomach, so we have another scan in 8 weeks to look at that, and also his eyes are set further apart than they should be. So our risk of him having Down's is now 1 in 7 from 1 in 31.

My placenta is to the side, but quite low down, and I am carrying quite big which may mean I need to have fluid drawn off later on which could trigger early labour.

She said not to worry about not feeling the baby kick yet as he was very active for his scan. He was so cute icon_e_biggrin.gif I can't wait for the next scan which is a couple of days before we go on holiday to Majorca.

    Morning!

WW glad you eventually got in for the scan and saw your little one.

You're under the right care and it's good that they'll be watching over little one carefully. My DH had a hole in his heart too and it just closed itself. You would never know now as he's such a sporty soul (unlike me!)

Morning Ladies, looks like another sunny day here - normally i love the heat but right now i feel like a big fat swollen lump!!

Taking DD for lunch with my best friend today, then my mum is having her for the night and im going to get my hair done and catch up on some housework.

Me and OH are off to St Ives on Thursday for 2 nights as our last 'weekend of freedom' before peanut comes, DD is with her dad so we are making the most of it before the chaos of moving house and having a new baby decends!! On the house moving front, my sister and her family are moving into our house, they have removal van booked for 22nd August, but we still dont have a completion date for our new property, so its going to be like the waltons here for a week or two as it looks like we will all be living under one roof!!

Have a good day all, labour vibes to Sequeena, Apricot and anyone else that wants them xxx
Due 26th July, team yellow :D
