Good evening. Sequeena you must be very excited! I am and I've potentially got 5 weeks yet!! They said they do a sweep at 40w and induce 12 days later round here.

I've also had nice weather so took advantage and got another load of baby bits washed. I've got about 4 more washes to do which will mean all bedding etc will be done and all clothes up to 0-3 months. I didn't bother doing the bigger bits. Speaking of bigger bits you've all scared me talking about these big babies. Obviously I want a healthy bubs but ideally not massive! Yikes!!

I've had no difficulty filling my time today and have had another 4 friends arrange various meet ups for this and next week. I'm already enjoying this mat leave malarky!

Are all your OHs being brill? Mine had a shaky start as I didn't feel he was excited or interested enough but he's really being totally fab now and prob since about 25 ish weeks. I think the growing bump and more frequent appointments hearing the heartbeat etc have helped it sink in more. I want to do something special for him so he knows that he is appreciated - any suggestions (clean!)?

Is the plug definitely (in a visual obvious way) a plug?
  • ecoelle i think it means the amount of babys head they can feel above the pelvis so they can feel 3/5 which means 2/5 are engaged ceph just means head down.

oooo sequeena hope this is the start of things for you good luck

My DH has been getting better as time has gone on too, I think you're right about the growing bump and heartbeat helping matters! I've booked him a course of golf lessons as a thank you - something he's wanted for years but never could afford them or spare the time. Thought he'd better get them in now before bubs arrives and he's not allowed to leave the house anymore :rotfl:

My OH would not get excited until the first scan (10+6) then after my bleed at 14 weeks/waters breaking he didn't get 'excited' again until 24 weeks when we were told my waters had rehealed. It's been a really tough pregnancy but we're right at the end and he's as excited as I am :D

    In a word... no

He hates me being 'fat', isn't interested in discussing anything to do with the baby or the pregnancy or the heartbeat or appointments or anything else. It will NEVER have a name at this rate because we haven't discussed it.. Squeak was a week old before she had a name.. and I booked the appointment at the registry office and said we need a name by 10:30am tomorrow! I see this one being the whole 6 weeks!

He doesn't want to feel it moving, because it is gross.

He bought a sleepsuit for it last week after I teased him about getting pj's and bodysuits for Squeak nd it being favouritism before it is even born.
