Enjoy your lunch and the bingo Bella! I think all who are planning to bottle feed need to check with their individual hospitals. Surely they would have some emergency ones? What happens when a mum has a c-section with a general anaesthetic - baby couldn't wait for a feed until she wakes up!! They must have some for that sort of situation. Not everyone can breastfeed!!Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0

Winnie I hope you manage to get some rest before sports day. My BH haven't been painful yet. Is it something that worsens the further you get or just a luck thing?
I'm only 27+5 so I'm hoping they don't get worse! I certainly don't remember getting them so early on last time around.
I'm actually feeling really weird all over today, almost like I've got the flu but without the cold, if that makes sense? Really not feeling well.0 -
Have just noticed Boots do a Cow & Gate one as well as SMA and a bit cheaper. No Aptamil though

Im planning on breast feeding, but what if it doesnt happen? Will OH be sent home to get bottles and buy formula?
Sorry to board crash but i struggled to breastfeed to begin and they gave me a bottle of formula for her. I did manage after a day or so but i am sure they wouldn't let a baby starve. Depends on the hospital though.0 -

Morning all, Giblet's pole dancing again around the umbilical cord
I'm being made redundant at 31 weeks (although I was supposed to go 6 weeks ago but still here twiddling my thumbs), so it'll just be a month earlier than I'd planned.
In two minds about bf really - I know Mom won't like me doing it (she never did with me) and it would be nice for hubby to help out without me needing to express, but I'd feel that bf is 'the right thing to do' for Giblet. I'd like to do a mixture of both but heard it can confuse the baby & they go off bf'ing?

We had our tour of the ward last week and the general thinking is that if you go into hospital knowing you are not planning to breastfeed you are expected to provide your own milk. The hospital do have formula milk in but the preference is to use it only for those mums who are struggling or for some other sort of emergency. It is generally frowned upon if you rock up expecing the hospital to provide formula.Leo James arrived 7 days late on 26th August 2011 by emergency CS :j Such a cheeky chappy now :T0
