I'm totally against the idea of BF but there really is a very tiny chance of me doing it. I assumed the hospital wouldn't give formular and didn't want to give them an excuse to pressure me about BF which is why I've tried to be prepared. That said, the supermarket (24hour) is only a 5-10 min drive from our hospital anyway. We haven't had or been invited for a hosp viewing.

OMG we have a date for completing on our lovely new house! 19th August - I'm soo looking forward to getting in & getting the nursery/baby stuff sorted out - whooop! Hope it doesn't take 6 weeks to get internet connected again though!

Our hospital does escorted tours on Saturday & Sunday afternoon's once you're 30 weeks (& just hope you don't go into labour before then!) so we're going to ring up in a week or two so we can get a feel for the place

At the hospital I was at they had formula there as they gave it to Miles on the second night as I just couldnt get him to settle at all. They had to take him away for a couple hours too which together with not being able to get him to feed, and having to have formula I was feeling pretty darn bad at the time and had a cry on the phone to husband later.

I never tried any of the things that they say bring on labour. The night before I had gone to my parents and my sister helped me shave my legs lol as I couldnt reach all of the way down. She gave me a foot massage which was lovely! My Dad made us one of his specialities which was mostly potato and I had been fancying it for a few weeks so he HAD to make it! Later that night/early hours in the morning and the pain started.

Ive had the midwife out again today and had all my staples removed now. She did it gradually as there were 23 of them so done it over 2 days. I didnt expect to have such a big cut and husband says it looks pretty bad and if it was him he wouldnt be moving at all lol.
Also had a visit from the homecare worker about breastfeeding but she isnt sure how she can help. She is going to come out next week and see him feed hopefully, so I am just to keep up with skin to skin and trying to get him to latch on. I just wont take as long as it did at hospital before I would stop as an hour of him screaming and holding his breath really got me down, Im sure if I was still in hospital I would be an absolute wreck as I was already crying on the phone to husband and wanting to go home. They wanted me to stay another day but I didnt see how that would help any more than the last 4 days did!
