Now, is this usual or unusual.

I'm having a membrane sweep at 40+ 2(I am 38+2) if the baby hasn't arrived. I thought these were done like at 42? I think it might be because they've been investigating me for dysfibrogenaemia (results appear to be clear) so the idea was to get him out when they can. But as everything appears to be fine I wondered why I'd be having one at 40+2

I think that's usual tbh, by 42 weeks they would be talking about inducing you as the placenta starts to deteriorate so giving a sweep at 40+2 might be all it takes to get things started rather than having to go through the induction process.

Why do you need a hawaiian shirt? *nosey*

Ohh ok mum thinks its unusual but she was homebirthing the last 3 I was the only hospital one.
Well, my boyfriend likes hawaiian shirts and I think they are cute. And yeah....no real reason apart from I can thrust the baby at him and go "LOOK!!! He's dressed like you!" Anything to get him to bond with a child he isn't biologically responsible for

Last night he informed me he was planning to read "Go the F*** to Sleep" by Adam Mansbach to the baby. Now, listening to Samuel L Jackson reading the book is actually quite amusing as some of it rings true, but I don't think my child is getting it read to them.
If you don't mind the F word its very funny. If you are easily offended then do not listen to this!

  • Congrats to all the new mums. :T

Hopefully i'll be joining you soon. :o

After having Braxton hicks for over a week i'm having different pains this afternoon, they are more low down achey period type pains.

I'm also going out for a Vindaloo tonight in the hope that Harrison starts packing his bags. :D
I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.
