    Hi all

Little Angel i know what you mean about comments on size, some silly woman at work actually said to me you dont look pregnant from the back, my reply was "thats because my bump is at the front" some people are so stupid!!

I am panicing now as when i am reading about people going on maternity leave and they are going quite early :( my EDD is 06/12/11 and i am planning to work until a week before although by then i will only be doing 2 days a week using my holiday to only work Monday and Friday for 5/6 weeks, what did you all do?

I have my Detailed scan next week on the 20/07/11 and would love to find out what we are having but as long as it is a baby i will be more than happy :)

    What a great forum

    Take care

Yes that's the one but it's showing as OOS when I click into in. It's a nice size too so really gutted that it's missing bits.

Aw sorry it was showing as in stock last night when I was looking.

:j:beer: Massive congratulations on the birth of Brody Lablover :j:beer: Can't wait to see a pic - makes it seem more real for me now!

Perdi Izzy is gorgeous! I want one :D

My stepsister had her baby this morning - she was due 23rd July. She was already in hospital as they were going to induce her due to a possible problem with baby's heartbeat but in the end she went into labour naturally and gave birth after only 20 minutes  think she is still in shock!

I'd like my baby now please.....

I want to be one of these 20 minute people, happened to my cousin with her first, she didn't even make it to hospital

    I know I won't be though.

Congratulations Lablover and Perdi your little one is gorgeous :)

Thanks for the chatter about formula, am feeling a bit more relaxed now ironically, it took someone to point out the hospital wont let baby starve for me to calm down though lol.

Welcome to the newbies and congratualtions, hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months!

I am going on maternity at 36 + 2 and cannot wait, mostly becuase work is starting to wind down now because im passing everything over and because i just really want to be sleeping in the same bed as OH every night.

31 + 4 and midwife tomorrow, we have two nhs classes booked and the hospital tour comes after that so im told :)

Abbey, I hope you're feeling better today and your pain has subsided (that's assuming it wasn't the start of labour?!).

Does anyone have any idea on the pineapple question? Or suggestions for an alternative to RLT? Stupid H&B have no capsules so I'm stuck with the tea for now :-(

Yeah I think my backs just decided it hates me.

Been to hospital today for my blood test, thank god for Ametop, I couldn't feel a thing, no idea the needle was in me! I have mild panic attacks when bloods being taken I HATE it. So I was prescribed the lovely numbing cream. Its ace I still cant feel it.

ObDoc then said my bump was small (ie measured at 34 when I'm 38) and couldnt locate the baby so sent me for a scan. Didn't that make me paranoid! Turns out because I am tall he just has lots of space and was tucked away hiding at the back. Head down (YES!) arms and legs bundled up. At my 20 week scan she said it was 75% a boy, now its more like 85% as there was a rather large scrotal sack on display but as he was still refusing to reveal himself, she said she can't be 100%. But itlooked like it. Had a little glimpse of his face (to the best of her ability). It was a bad/nice surprise scan as I was worried what it would reveal but nice because it turned out he is a normal size just being polite and taking up as little room as possible.

Now, is this usual or unusual.

I'm having a membrane sweep at 40+ 2(I am 38+2) if the baby hasn't arrived. I thought these were done like at 42? I think it might be because they've been investigating me for dysfibrogenaemia (results appear to be clear) so the idea was to get him out when they can. But as everything appears to be fine I wondered why I'd be having one at 40+2

    Hi all,
Not posted for ages but have been lurking.
Hope everyone is having a pleasant Monday.

Congratulations to Lablover, Karen, Anderson and Supermaiden.

There's a post on the Grabbit board ref cheap Pampers at Asda.

Went to Asda yesterday and got some nice little "Starter" packs of clothes, just the cheap plain white asdas own but they had 3 bodysuits, 3 sleepsuits, 2 pairs of mittens, booties and a hat for £7. Considering 3 bodysuits was £3 and 3 sleepsuits was £4, I thought it was a bargain.

Have got a strange lump under my boob, near the end of my ribs. It's been "buzzing" and going numb in that spot for a couple of weeks, saw the GP who sent me on my way with "You're pregnant, your body is weird!" but with the appearance of a lump I'll go back next week.

Managed approx 1 hours sleep last night, and working 12 hours today... deep joy! Fortunately OH decided to do the same hours today and works in the next building so at least I have saved over an hours driving :-)

Only 16 more shifts left to go. Can't wait to finish now.

Got our baby bedding last weekend. It's the M&S "My Toy Shelf" range that someone mentioned the moses basket earlier. We got the cot bumper, quilt, curtains and mobile. Have to say it's gorgeous!!! Have since ordered the giraffe rattle and elephant toy to match....
It's worth checking M&S site for the Moses basket as I noticed the whole range disappears and re appears.

Can't remember if I read it on here, but if I didn't I was reading you can use pillow cases instead of moses basket fitted sheets, much cheaper and they can't come off the edges as easily.

Someone mentioned (Pigpen I think) about cranial osteopathy. The Osteopath I've been seeing treats lots of babies and said she has alot of success with babies with Colic and struggling with breastfeeding. She explained that in labour and birth a baby's head can get a bit squished and because the bones and skull aren't fully fussed and still a bit supple it can have an effect on things like the roof of their mouth. (It's no where near as drastic as I've explained it, and the treatments are apparently very gentle.)

Labour vibes to those who need them... and for those who don't, happy thursday vibes.

I'm afraid I don't know about your sweep.

Puzzled - I was the same about baby not starving. I asked at the breastfeeding antenatal class yesterday and apparently all hospitals will have milk, but some people will try to take the pee so they aren't as forthcoming as they might have been.
