Wow that's expensive isn't it! No wonder the hospitals are stopping doing them!Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0

Yes! I was shocked and a bit miffed it only comes in a box of 12 but (I know I'll be hated for this) as I'm not BF'ing I wanted to make the first feeds as stress free as poss, especially as I expect a lot of grief from the hosp staff about not BF'ing. DH knows that he'll be able to crack on straight away too if there are any probs with me so on balance, it proved to be a worthwhile expense for me.0

Abbey, I hope you're feeling better today and your pain has subsided (that's assuming it wasn't the start of labour?!).
Does anyone have any idea on the pineapple question? Or suggestions for an alternative to RLT? Stupid H&B have no capsules so I'm stuck with the tea for now :-(0 -
Morning all!
Congratulations Anderson!
:hello: hiya newbies!
I was getting BH's all night, seriously fed up with them now. Mega tired so need to try to get some kip before DS's sports day this afternoon.
Hope everyone's ok, labour vibes to everyone who wants them0 -
Doglover breastfeeding is a very personal thing and if you want to bottle feed go for it. My DH has a very strong bond with DS2 and I think that is because he gave him his first bottle feed while I was being stitched up! Breast isn't always best for everyone. Pineapple, RLT, sex, curries etc didn't do a thing for me - I still went 2 weeks over. How many weeks are you? I'm sure from 36 weeks RLT and pineapple are fine.
Winnie sorry you had such a rubbish night. I remember getting really strong ones with DS2 - so strong in fact that DH thought he would be early. No such luck!! Enjoy the sports dayThank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -
Thanks Kandboys I'm 35 weeks so will look at the pineapple then. I think google shows about 50% of women say the stuff works and the other half say it made no difference! I'm going to do some of it, if only take my mind off being a whale.0

Just popping on to say Congratulations to Anderson and Supermaiden - well done to you both xx :T
Sorry DL I don't know about pineapple but I have been chomping on fruit throughout this pregnancy as its my Number 1 craving so I would have it now (and am doing). I honestly think you would need to eat loads and loads to have an effect but maybe someone will correct me and tell me a story about how they ate 3 pieces of pineapple and their waters broke there and then lol :rotfl:
Also re working and starting maternity leave - I am 35 weeks tomorrow and finishing next Friday. I WISH it was my last day tomorrow. I know its only another 5 days but I am really struggling now. If I had my time again I would stop at 35 weeks.Leo James arrived 7 days late on 26th August 2011 by emergency CS :j Such a cheeky chappy now :T0 -
Winnie I hope you manage to get some rest before sports day. My BH haven't been painful yet. Is it something that worsens the further you get or just a luck thing?
DH is returning to decorating the nursery today so sorry if any of you manage to hear the blue language which I suspect will be very blue and very loud! I'm going to steer clear.0 -
TOTALLY agree with you about finishing work at 35 weeks Claireloo ! It's a struggle having that extra week left still.
I've been craving fruit a lot this preg too but purposely avoided pineapple. I'm sure you're right about needing to eat tons for any sort of effect (if any at all)0 -
It can't hurt to take it and you never know it may work. I used to have curries followed by pineapple which was quite refreshing. Both my boys like curries now!!Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0
