hi ladies can i join you all please, havent posted in quite awhile but am due 26th september which makes me 29ish weeks (cant remember exactly as my memory is terrible at the minute!!)
hows everybody feeling? my sickness has come back these past few weeks and have been sooo tired also

Right...Braxton Hicks...how strong/hard are these meant to be. I definitely am getting a FEW and I mean very little (at 38 weeks pregnant) but they sometimes just feel like one side of my stomach is harder than the other. I can tell its a BH because usually the other side is pathetically soft yet it goes a bit tense, the other side goes harder but I reckon thats because the sprog is inhabiting the left side anyway. And I had one that meant I had to lean back (was sitting down) as it felt like pressure under my ribs pushing them out. But I probably only get one of those a day/2 days. What is wrong with me!!! I feel like I'm going to be 2 weeks late...better not be...

what a mad few days! as you know my waters went early hours of sat morning with an awesome hollywood worthy gush. was told to go straight to the hospital, where they hooked me up to a monitor, i was contracting every 4 min at that point, i was examined and was only 1 cm dilated, but due to his heart rate dropping, when i contracted i was kept in, my contractions started to ease by middday by which point i was put into a bed on a ward, as soon as my husband went home at 8pm i was contracting once every 10 min. it stayed this way the whole night. sunday morning i was told that due to my wtaers going i was to be induced to speed things along by drip. i was taken to a delivery room at 1pm, and worked my way through the contractions with my new best friend gas and air, eventually when my contractions got to 3min apart about 7pm, i asked for an epidural. induced contractions were a whole different ball game to regular one. the epidural only worked on my left side so had the work through half the pain with gas and air! was checked again for dilation at 9.30 and after 42 hours in labour i was only 3 cm, babies heart rate started to drop again when i was contracting so i was rushed in for an emergency section and my gorgeous baby boy was in my arms for 10pm. he had the cord wrapped round his neck twice. im glad i delivered when i did cause they said he wouldve been nearer 9 1/2 lbs if he was full term
sorry for the babble and lack of paragraphs but im so tired, only got our of hospital yesterday and i cant remember waht sleep is like!

Great to hear from you Anderson, huge congrats! Sorry you and your little boy had a bit of a time of it but really pleased to hear you're home. I look forward to seeing a piccy soon.

I am getting so sick of this breast pump already! Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature. It vibrates and makes noise as you use it which is annoying but bearable. Now it has started to squeal on each suction which means I cant use it in the same room as baby is in as it will wake him and even though Im in another room it can still be heard in our bedroom. And then now it has just taken milk through the air tube to the pump itself. I am not happy!

hi jacobsmum yes your around 29 weeks (i only know cause i checked my calender earlier and im due the 29th sep lol) ive been really tired the past 3 weeks and have had that horrible sicky taste in my mouth again so am constantly eating chewits, especially if im driving.

watched my boys sports day today so got blown around a bit with the wind but never mind

congrats on the newest additions (sorry cant remeber names baby brain doh) but congrats anyway.x

Hi all please may i join. Can't believe that i finally join the pregnancy thread, been a lurker since we first started TTC back in 2009!

I'm 15 weeks due 30th december.

Just after a bit of advice really. When is everyone starting their maternity leave?
I would like to work as long as poss so was thinking off leaving mid/late November when i'll be 34/35 weeks.

This being our first baby I don't know what bottles you mean, but we visited 2 local hospitals to scope them out and bth told us that we had to take our own bottles and formula of we weren't breast feeding as from this month they no longer provide any.
