Phoned lloyds when I got got home & everything went through fine, already got a text message for online banking and I can't remember even giving them my mobile number, I must be keen as tried already to activate my phone insurance which they won't let me do until card arrive.
So far so good.0 -
Make sure, if you've not already, that you add vantage to your current account in online banking. It's not added automatically and you have to add it to get the interest.0

Cheers will do just going through old threads and seeing what others have said about lloyds and TBH pretty good reviews so far and also requested the contactless which I doubt I will use as I didn't with my Barclays but if it's their I might as well have it.
Looking forward to seeing a different screen for online banking for a change.0 -

When I heard the data protection excuse I did explain that I'd just gone through security with them so they know I am the holder of the account but it falls on deaf ears.
Surely phonebank advisers have the same computer systems as the branch
All lies
These days "Data Protection" seems to be the catch-all excuse that can be translated from "Don't know" and "Can't be arsed".
I've never failed to obtain my risk bank from LTSB over the telephone after enough badgering. It does depend on who you speak to and how much you need to persuade them (and if they need to go and speak to a manager/ask a colleague how to see it), but if they tell you that they are not allowed to give it out then that's a lie.0 -
Yes I know that, still don't stop them from refusing though. I had a 15 minute debate with one of the phonebank staff about data protection, still did not get anywhere.
In end it's just easier to go in the branch, or call the branch up0 -
I have also wondered regarding the Halifax overdraft options.
My planned overdraft is £100 and in the online banking area it offers the chance to 'manage planned overdraft'.ie apply for an increase etc.
Can I find out any 'guaranteed limit' by putting in a random figure?
Certainly not looking for £9999 though lol0 -

Each " Number " you type in on the overdraft will be logged somewhere in the system, i can only advise to take what you need.
I currently have £100 with lloyds as an overdraft never even touched.
If you go into branch they will tell you the preapproved limit. i.e the limit you will be allowed upto without triggering a credit check0 -

Before they merged Halifax and Llloyds it used to be the case that you could enter £9999 and it would come back as....'Sorry this is above your guaranteed overdraft rate of xxxx'
Since the merger of systems, that ability seems to have disappeared and it does just now say 'manage planned overdraft'0 -
Does anyone know what score a new customer would be? I'm guessing as its between 1-9 a new customer would be about 7, then after a year of service what would the score be? 2 years? etcSwagBucks Challenge: 402/849

Based on what I've read on this subject
Somewhere between 1-9 or 98, 99 CPD I'd guess. They'll probably look at your credit file and base it on that initially.
Or you could just ask.
Added to the internal score you'll have pre-defined amounts available / not available for loans, credit cards, overdraft and whether you're eligible for a upgraded account.0
