The bank have my employment details my salary is paid into the account.
Are you sure that the bank holds the correct details? What you might have told them say 6 months ago might have been altered.
You did not answer about benefits being paid in.

    Thanks for your reply.

I do not receive any benefits.

I am sure they have the right details, I opended an additional current account last month online, I had to confirm my employment details then which were correct.

I know full well from experience that the application of a CPD marker often makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

I spent many moths scratching my head over it and finding out as much as I could from all array of personal advisors, branch managers, and various departments on the phone. None of the information I was given from one person tallied up with what I got from the next. They were all making it up as they went along.

Don't try to fathom it, the more you try, the more insane you'll go...

    CPD is very very random.

Staff don't understand it. And yes staff make it up as they go along.

As long as there is a CPD - no lending is available.

Customer could be a risk band 1- the best you can get and there could be a CPD marker on it and that's it, they're fooked!

Cust with a risk band 6 - not all that good and could still be accepted for lending as long as there is no CPD or adverse ratings.

CPD has no logical explaination. All staff will do is just sell you ID Aware and even that doesn't explain it. They'll fob you off and say, check your credit history with ID aware. It helps them hit their ID Aware target.

Does anyone have any idea how Lloyds decide what risk band a customer is?

I still have a CPD marker on my account after nearly 3 years.... I stopped bothering ages ago about it though, as my credit can't be that bad. Just managed to get 4 credit cards with £8,500 limits between them in the last few months, so there can't be owt wrong with my credit score.

Wouldn't have minded the Gold account either but apparently Silver is all I'm worthy for. C'est la vie :)
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

My risk band with Lloyds is 1 have a £1000 overdraft and Classic Credit Card with £1000 credit limit but I have CPD against all lending this month. My Experian file is flawless. Any ideas?

Your CPD coincides with opening a new credit account (you don't say whether the new account was also with Lloyds)

I suspect that Lloyds wish to see how this new account performs for a few months (via Experian Delphi score etc) as explained here

The key to a good credit score is demonstrating stability - showing you can successfully maintain the status quo. If you didn't have any credit accounts on your credit file then taking out something like the Progress card would certainly help, but if you already have some active credit accounts, then taking out a new card can actually harm your score - as it is seen as a new commitment and more available credit, both of which are risk factors.

Bottom line - if you don't already have an active credit card account, it'll help. If you do, probably not so much :o

My Barclays pre-approved offers disappeared shortly after new accounts appeared on my CRA file

I was wondering if CPD customers still receive credit offers (eg loans with an amount stated) via internet banking or post

also whether the CPD affects balance transfer offers on existing Lloyds TSB credit cards ?

Without actually applying for credit how do you find out what your internal risk is and if a CPD marker has been put on your account?

Are they duty bound to tell you this under the Data Protection Act, and is it a Subject Access Request you need to send off for this with £10? Or is there a easier way?
