As above I am able to do both but have CPD. I just opened a new account with Lloyds but can have the option to open more when I click apply for another current account. Confusing.

Assuming you opened the Lloyds accounts at a Scottish branch , these will be sold to another bank soon and you may be free of the CPD marker

also you have nine current accounts at various banks and this is not the first time you have been CPD

As you have Halifax accounts it will be interesting to see if your CPD marker spreads to these accounts with the forthcoming changeover

Entering £9999 in the "change overdraft" box should provide an indication of the account's health

Quite easy to tell if you have CPD, login to Internet Banking and:

    1) Click on "Upgrade Today" under a Current Account and if it says "According to our records, you already hold the highest level of Added Value Account" you have CPD (As long as you don't have Premier that is) ;)

    Check two:

    2) Under "Apply Today" Click on "Current Account" and if it says "Sorry, we can't offer you a secondary current accounts."

    All means you have CPD,

Thank you for that. I think I now know why its only with Lloyds I have difficulty getting accepted. Anyway the local branch is on the closure list so Lloyds can go scr*w.

Despite the CPD issue I do like Lloyds and their online banking is very good.

My branch is also due to be sold, do you think they will allow customers to transfer their accounts to an English branch, similar senario too the Natwest and RBS closures.

What do you mean by closure?
No LTSB branch is earmarked for closure but some will be sold off - not the same thing.

I think at some time in the last few months my Internal score was knocked back. The reason I say this because i have just discovered a personal loan rate for me as 24.5%. However when I just applied for a loan it was accepted at a rate of 8.0%.

"We cannot actively encourage customers with accounts based in the affected branches to stay with us. However, you will be free to move your accounts between banks at any time as you are able to today. We will continue to be delighted to welcome any customers that wish to move their banking back to Lloyds Banking Group."

Moneysaver log - ring them and ask them for a loan to test the waters.

If there is CPD or any other nasty indicators, phonebank will deny you and not put you through to lending. Adviser may slip up and let you know what indicators may be on the system.

There are other nasties other than CPD!
