Hi,
I purchased RAC cover on the 9th of August 2011 on the basis that i would received £60 cash back.
This was tracking as zero cashback so i raised a claim.
I have heard nothing further but on the 9th of December the orginal purchase (showing £0.00 cash back) has changed to confirmed status.
This is my first 'major' purchase made on the basis of cashback and to be honest i'm not impressed. Reading through some of the bloggs and Q&A on the website it seems like this sort of turnaround is normal. Why it should take 6 months or more i have no idea.
Please can you tell me the status of my claim and when i can expect to receive the £60?
Thanks0 -
Good afternoon,
@ jjmclure – We closed your account on 3.1.12 so any purchases you made in Store prior to that date using your registered card(s) will have tracked. The Debenhams purchase tracked on 1.1.12. I think that may have solved this particular puzzle. If you wish to discuss this further please contact us directly. You can write to me at juliewells@quidco.com about this, as you no longer have an active account so cannot use the normal contact method.
@fuzzybear01 – Please don’t worry - Currys have not had a widespread tracking issue, but they do track at 1.5% when the advertised cashback is over 1.5% and update further along in the process. This is normal for Currys. I’m not clear from your post whether yours tracked, but at the wrong rate, or didn’t track at all. However, I see you’ve contacted us about this so if we need more info from you we’ll be getting back to you. Otherwise we’ll get your claim sent off for you.
@saintsdave - that’s good news. Aviva are generally pretty quick at paying cashback, although for most insurance type products the payment period can be up to 6 months.
@Firebird – are you including VAT? Cashback is not paid on the VAT so this could account for it.
@Lemonade Pockets – I’m sorry you have this issue and we do need to take a look at this for you. If you choose the question – Why has my cashback tracked at the wrong amount? – in the contact form on our help page, then click to go through to Quidcare, we will be able to assist you.
Kind regards,

Well, lucky ole you. I'm still waiting:mad:0 -
Does anyone know what the deal is with Car Insurance cashback from Quidco and the insurer?
I've got an excellent promotion from Swinton for £80 cashback and Quidco are also offering £22.16 cashback. I'm tempted to try get both, but I don't want to be greedy and then find out that Swinton will only honour one of the cashback claims (and knowing my luck it would only be the lower amount).
Would really appreciate some feedback if anyone has experience of this or if a Quidco representative knows the answer.

Well it's finally happened - and NOT on Quidco.
My first ever decline, £60 from Eurogrand Casino, part of the WIlliam Hill Group. It didn't track, I supplied all details including the specific Eurogrand deposit reference number to TCB (as I have with all other claims, which have subsequently paid out.)
I received this message to inform me that £60 has gone down the Swannee
"Hi there,
Thank you for your recent message,
As you claim is one that has long since lapsed it's expected resolution time-frame, this has crept onto our radar as a claim that needs to be resolved as soon as possible and we have been doing out best to get this processed. Unfortunately to add to the current problems, this merchant's affiliate network (a merchant management agency for online marketing) has recently been undergoing a transitional process in implementing a new resolution system.
Nevertheless, we can now confirm that your claim has been resolved, but I'm afraid that it is not good news.
Your claim has been declined, and this is the information that we have received to support this decision...
Reason For Rejection: Enquiry Unsuccessful - Transaction cannot be traced with the information provided."

Hi,
Sorry I wasn’t around yesterday to answer your questions.
@hansi – I’m afraid that claims do prolong the process a little but if your claim has gone past the average processing time for Aviva we will be chasing it up for you. We have to wait for claims and payments to be processed by the retailers and their affiliate networks and cashback can take a while at times. As soon as we receive we pass it on to our customers though.
@Twiggy_34 – I’m afraid that you will only be entitled to one or the other. Insurers won’t pay cashback in addition to their own promotional offers. Sorry!
@ph2 – Legal & General do have a very long validation period and their claims to tend to take around 8 months to be processed as a result of this. You can view the average processing and payment times on the retailers’ pages on our site. They give an indication of how long things are currently taking, based on averages over the last 12 months.
Kind regards,
