Does anyone know if Direct Line come on this thread? I bought insurance through them via Quidco in August last year but it didn't track. I raised a claim and it was sent to Direct Line at the beginning of December but they still haven't paid. I've contacted Quidco but there's nothing else they can do. It's so frustrating. :(

    What do Quidco say ?

The latest update is 'sent to merchant.' When I used online chat with Quidco, they just said that they are waiting on Direct Line to pay.

    Hi there!

Direct Line claims generally take 6 months to resolve from the date they were raised, so your claim should finish resolving some time around now.

If the 6 month timeframe has passed I'd recommend dropping our customer services team another line as we may have an update.

    Kind Regards,

Thank you for your reply Nick. I used Quidco's online chat a few days ago and was just told that they had nothing more to tell me other than it's been sent to the merchant. :(

How long do Quidco High Street purchases take to track? 36 hours on, and our first is missing in action. Or missing in Go Outdoors...

We activated their 5% offer 15 mins before using (with a Visa card long registered to High St) - there was no indication of a delay before use.

Can you please keep this thread informed on any updates regarding Direct Line?
I'm expecting issues with TCB regarding Direct Line, so I'm keenly interested.
The Financial Ombudsman Service advised myself that promotions offered for taking out financial products, should reasonably be expected to be paid out within three months. It would not be unreasonable to make a complaint direct to the company (financial) after four months unpaid. Direct Line often go way over and beyond four months!
Sadly, the financial company then has eight weeks to investigate a complaint, to either reach a resolution, or issue a deadlock letter, before the FOS will intervene. You must give a chance in case it's a simple admin error.
Good luck and best wishes with this one and hope Quidco provide the customer service and care you deserve.
No payments from financial products from cash back sites? Put in a complaint direct and if they don't resolve your issue, head straight to the financial ombudsman - it costs the company £550 in referral fees, win or lose.

Just a warning to anyone expecting a cash back from Morethan pet insurance.....you'll not get it.
I purchased pet insurance via Quidco and they refused to pay. No explanation. I contacted Quidco and they investigated it. No change. No cash back.
Looking at the Morethan Quidco page there are a lot of people in the same boat.
Why are they allowed to tout for business on Quidco?

I made a complaint to Morethan. They initially referred me to Quidco. I contacted Morethan again and today I received my cash back.

My Direct Line payment showed up overnight on my TCB account, so maybe they have made a payment run? Fingers crossed for you.

    Hi everyone.

It sounds like it's currently going through the normal process then - Direct Line claims generally can take up to 6 months to resolve from the date they've been raised, so we'd just be waiting for a response from them until that point. After that point has passed Quidco is then able to take more proactive measures to try and secure an update.

Quidco High Street purchases can take up to 14 days to track as they're tracked differently to our standard purchases. If your purchase hasn't tracked by after a fortnight, my best advice would be to drop our in-store team a line.

You can contact them at instorecashback@quidco.com. It's generally best to include the following in your email:
    • a scanned copy of your store receipt
    • your username
    • the name of the retailer
    • the date of purchase

They should then be able to help you out with any of your High Street issues!

At Quidco we're very happy to be regulated by the FOS as we believe in behaving transparently and helping our members get the best possible solutions to all their inquiries.

However, we would advise that the most accurate information about Quidco's payment speeds will come from Quidco as we alone have access to our payment speed statistics. Although Direct Line themselves may only take 3 or 4 months to process a cashback inquiry, we also submit cashback claims to a series of our own checks and handoffs, which would also take some time.

We also do all our transactions and communications via a third party known as the affiliate network who may need to perform their checks on the payment.

Although many of our transactions do get paid faster than this, we expect Direct Line payments to take up to six months to fully process and pay out, as standard.

I'm very sorry to hear this has happened! When you contacted our customer support, did they confirm that we weren't provided with a reason for the decline? It's unusual that a retailer won't provide us with a reason for the decline.
