I plan on purchasing an Armani watch for my partner for xmas. I've found it on TIC Watches for £275, less than elsewhere. But I have a choice between going through Quidco or using a voucher code (as Quidco website says cashback won't be paid when a discount code is used from elsewhere).
I've found a 10% voucher code, which would bring it down to £247.50.
Or Quidco offer 15% cashback for TIC watches, bringing price to £233.75. Also, they've emailed me an offer to get a £10 bonus when I make a purchase before 31st Dec, so essentially bringing it to £223.75
Obviously I'd save more with the Quidco offer, but the voucher code offer is guaranteed.
My worry is that I won't use the discount code so that I can qualify for cashback, but then for whatever reason/catch/clause, I won't get paid the cashback. After reading some of the posts here, I fear that my concerns are indeed valid!?!
I've never used a cashback site before. So can anyone shed any experience??0 -
Applied for a Nationwide FlexAccount via Quidco using NW switching service on 23rd April 2015, account opened shortly after, switch date was 19th May.
After several emails and support messages suggesting I had not used the switching service or adhered to NW T&C's I proved by documents that I had fulfilled all. Quidco then sent an email and support message on 12th November saying: -
"Unfortunately we still don't have a response on this and so in this case, although we are chasing up the retailer, we'll be happy to pay this to you out of Quidco's own funds, so you do not have to wait much longer.
I'm afraid that due to a few technical issues on site, we're not able to complete this for you right now. However, please be assured that as soon as our system is back up and running, this will update to 'confirmed'. This should happen within the next 7 days if not sooner, and we will of course update you as soon as we are able to.
I do hope this helps, and once again, please accept our apologies for the delay on this.
Kind regards,
Heather

Yet despite me sending another 2 chase up emails Quidco have not even replied well after their promise of, " This should happen within the next 7 days if not sooner, and we will of course update you as soon as we are able to." Well it is now 21 days since that email and no payout

So it looks like I will have to escalate the matter to the Financial Ombudsman and let them sort it out!

Hi @eastender1234
You are correct in stating that you can't use vouchers and get cashback, unless that voucher code is listed on the retailers Quidco page.
You are also correct that cashback isn't guaranteed, we do of have a section in our FAQs that give you a list of steps you can take in order to give you the best chance of getting your cashback approved. You can get there by following this link http://www.quidco.com/help/all/#
I hope this helps.

I am afraid your response on the Quidco site is not acceptable, read my reply to it plus Quidcos response dated 12th November were Heather stated,""we'll be happy to pay this to you out of Quidco's own funds, so you do not have to wait much longer. This should happen within the next 7 days if not sooner, and we will of course update you as soon as we are able to."
Quidco have not done as they promised in their 12th November reply re paying this cashback nor updating or replying to my further queries, taking a post on a public forum to receive a reply.

Hi @derrick
Thanks for your response. I have sent a reply message to your Support Inbox. We have paid this amount to you from our own funds and will attempt to recoup the payment from Nationwide at a later date.
I do hope this is a satisfactory resolution for you.

Quidco rep,
Can you advise why all the recent surveys want you to register your details on a 3rd party website?
How can these be classed as a survey?0 -
Quick question for the Quidco rep on here... I have a couple of recent Quidco trackings that have tracked at a higher pruchase price than the order.
I still have the order confirmations, and both are clearly less.
Any idea how/why this might have happened?0 -

Hi @rick@findthatfuchsia,
Please don't worry, the third party sites may, at times, require additional details to ascertain whether a survey meets certain demographic necessities in order to be fair and representative.
If at any time you are concerned about a survey, please do not hesitate to get in touch with Customer Support who will be able to answer any queries that you may have.
