Anyone else had ELC decline a perfectly good claim? I know two people whose claims declined recently, and its the second perfectly valid purchase I've had decline which should contribute towards my 12 xmas retailers. My claims won't even be considered until the xmas offer is well an truly out of the headlines... I wonder what the result will be?0

Earn up to £10 this Christmas when you complete all five challenges.
Complete two tasks to unlock £4 and the remaining three tasks to earn an additional £6.
Activate an In-store offer & shop
This is the last challenge on to-do list. When I click on it, it takes me to the area with all in store cash back retailers. My question is can I use any retailer such as Body Shop or do I have to activate extra cash back for given retailers such as TM Lewin to complete this.ally.0 -

Hi Bobbish
I'm sorry to hear your cashback has been declined.
Please don't worry, if your claim is approved by the retailer, your purchase will still count towards your Christmas Bonus.
Please feel assured, we will keep you up to date with the progress of your claim.
Many Thanks,

Hi Asajj
Thank you for checking this.
When you click on the link, only the retailers listed on the page with 'Activate to earn more' next to them, will unlock the bonus.
I hope this helps.

Why do quidco refuse to publish negative reviews about retailers?
I had used the site (as always - deleting cookies etc) to purchase from a retailer and it didn't track. I raised a claim which was rejected as the retailer said I hadn't purchased via quidco which wasn't the case.
I went on to the retailers quidco page to leave a review and got an email a few hours later stating that you were refusing to publish it. I asked what is the point in having the ability to review a retailer if you do not publish negative reviews as this is extremely misleading for anyone relying on reviews when making purchases. Quidco responded saying that they were not publishing as they like to try and resolve issues first.
They then weren't able to solve the issue (retailer still not paying obviously!) but still said they were refusing to allow my review to be published!! I then got told that 'as a gesture of goodwill' Quidco would pay the amount due in cashback (almost £8).
I find this unacceptable. Although I am glad to receive the cashback I was entitled to, I find it ridiculous that you feel this is a suitable resolution to keep people quiet and make retailers look good!!Total Debt: £5257.32
Goal to be rid of:
May: Next/YourPlan - £169.61
June: Vanquis - £258.51
July: Paypal - £249.010 -
I signed up for BT Broadband + TV last night, clicking through to BT's site shortly before midnight but not completing my order until after midnight. At midnight the cashback went down from £250 to £200. Which rate should I expect to get?
(The point may be moot as it hasn't yet tracked)0 -
I'm wanting to purchase Sky TV but I'm not sure which link to sign up via.
I already have Sky Broadband and Phone but not TV. Do I need to use the Upgrades link or the New Customer one?
My girlfriend has had no end of trouble with Sky/quidco in the past so I want to make sure what I'm doing is 100% correct.0 -
Would imagine the upgrade link0

That's what I thought but there's no mention of upgrading to TV from being a phone & broadband customer from what I can see.0 -

Hi @GJNA,
I can certainly explain this for you.
Unfortunately we are unable to post your review, as the tracking is done by third party affiliates. In this case when your purchase has been traced, it has been traced back to a website other than Quidco, which is why we were unable to get this for you. As this is outside of the retailer's control, I'm afraid that it would not be possible for us to post this onto their Quidco page.
I do assure you that all of our retailers pay the majority of their cashback claims, and that we monitor the reasons for declining very closely, as any abuse of the system (by retailers or customers) will not be tolerated.
Unfortunately this problem is a problem inherent in the cashback process, and one that we work hard on reducing the risk of. In this case it isn't a fault in the reliability of the retailers to confirm their cashback amounts, but a risk in the cashback process, because of which we do advise that we can never guarantee cashback.
I do hope that this helps to explain why we cannot post your review on this occasion, and reassures you that we do not block reviews based purely on whether they are negative or not. If you browse our retailers' reviews you will be able to see many negative reviews.
I am pleased that we managed to resolve this for you in the end, as we will always do all that we can to ensure our customers obtain their cashback and provide a satisfactory resolution for any problems that arise.
Kind Regards,
