It'll probably track but get declined as the insuance provider will see you as an existing customer.
Indeed, if you read back in this thread you'll find all the answers you are seeking here.....

Good morning,
@Debtmagnet – We can never know for sure in these circumstances, as insurers generally have a rule that even if you don’t renew an existing policy but cancel and start a new one instead, you are still on their books as an existing customer and therefore cashback will not apply. Insurers tend to have cashback offers to attract new customers. If you let me know which insurer you’re with, though, I may be able to be a little more specific.
@kt26 – Are you clearing your cookies in your browser prior to logging in to Quidco? This does help to reduce the risk of tracking failure, and I do know it’s very worrying when a large amount doesn’t track naturally. Do raise a claim after the 3 days though, because a large proportion of these are successful.
@JintyB – I’m so sorry that you’ve been waiting for such a long time for your payment and I can certainly understand your concern. Don’t worry, it’s not a question of the cashback not being agreed. L & G have recently been taking longer than on their validation of cashback for this type of purchase, and we are currently chasing the payment up for you. I’ve had a word with our payments team this morning and I’ll respond on the support message that you’ve raised about this.
Kind regards,

Hi Quidco Rep
I wonder if you can have a look at my account - I have had quite a few purchases 'confirmed' but none actually paid, and some of them are dating back to Oct 2010..
Also, I have raised a claim (which was done 03/05/11) - can you tell me what is taking so long to get the claim accepted? It was for the free trial with Equifax.
I can give you more details if you need them.So much for 'Money Saving'0 -

Didn't realise I had to, so no, will it still have tracked if I raise a claim?

You need to clear cookies every time you want to use a cashback website.
It should still have tracked and as long as you hadn't visited the merchant before going through Quidco, then a competing cookie will not have been on your computer.0 -
Hi,
I have a claim with Payday Bank UK for £45 that has been outstanding now since August 2010. It was tracked in December 2010 but still nothing. On the merchant page it says that 100% of payments are paid within 90-180 days, am I just unlucky?
Also on another note, I have had tracking problems for the last couple of months, I've currently got 3 claims raised and one car insurance one that hasn't tracked as of yet. Are there any issues with the website?
Thanks!0 -

You are going to use a "screen capture video"??
Never tried this, but obviously helpful. Which software are you intending on using?? I've got a couple of mobile contracts to take out soon and may just have a go at this. Not that I'm expecting issues, but handy to learn.

Good morning,
@babyfreckles – Don’t worry, we can look at both of those problems for you. Can you please go to our help page and click on the following question in the contact form:
I have cashback in confirmed status. Why has Quidco not paid me?
There will be a link to take you through to the Quidcare Team and someone will get back to you shortly.
@kt26 – it’s always best to do this and to also follow the other advice we give in our help section under “My Quidco Purchases – Making a Purchase – How do I make a purchase?”
As regards your current untracked purchase, we will send off your claim and try to get this tracked manually. I’m afraid we can’t say whether this will be successful or not, but the vast majority of untracked cashback claims are. The problem with not clearing your cookies is that if you have visited other referrers, such as comparison sites or search engines prior to logging in to Quidco, their cookies may still have been on your browser at the time of purchase. One of these referrers could be credited the commission for the sale in which case cashback would not be paid. Unfortunately, we won’t know for certain until we get a resolution from them for your claim.
@Beargirl – that is a long time and I think we need to take a look at this for you. Please use the contact form on our Help page and select the following question:
Why hasn't my cashback claim updated to confirmed yet?
You’ll be able to click through to raise a support message with the QuidCare Team and they’ll be able to advise you. Do mention your tracking issues too, as they will have some technical tips which should help you.
I hope you all have a good weekend.
Kind regards,

Quidco,
Are In-store cashback purchases ever going to be paid. I have numerous items tracked from 4 different stores (B&Q, Halfords, Sports Direct, Cineworld) all in January of this year and none have seen any movement in status at all. Will they ever change or are there problems with In-store purchases ?0
