So my question is would I be able to do that since all the cashback refers to customers as 'new' customers. Since I have cancelled would I not be considered as 'new' or does there have to be a period of time lapse before you are considered as 'new' again?
Thanks all.
Mac.
Technically, you would create a "new" policy with a "new" policy number - so in that sense possible. Would it be classed as a re-newal?? Remember you are insuring the same address, the same post-code. Would it work if you registered in an OH's name??
But, as shaftingham states as an existing customer, you would not be "new".
I wouldn't trust it, go via another insurance company this year and you could go back to Aviva next year..........after a break.
Don't forget to use the MSE tool to see who's paying the most cashback on not just insurance, but anything:

Good luck and please give feedback on what you decide to do.
Welcome to MSE machasm.

Good morning,
@Bugalugs – I am very sorry to hear that. I will be more than happy to take a further look into this for you, can I ask you to send me an email at juliewells@quidco.com with details of your Quidco account please?
@machasm – I’m afraid you would still be classed as an existing customer, so no cashback would be payable should you take out a policy again. The majority of insurance providers will usually class you as a new customer again if you have not been with them for at least 12 months, although this does vary between providers.
Kind regards,

I purchased an iPhone 4 contract through mobiles.co.uk. It hadn't tracked so I raised a claim (giving all the details - order no. etc) and it's come back "declined. Another marketing channel was credited with sale". To put it mildly this is absolute tosh! The phone was in stock so there wasn't any phone contact. The only time that I had to phone was after I recieved the handset and phoned to cancel the insurance and mobile helpdesk that had been added on automatically. I am mystified as to which other marketing channel could have claimed the success for my sale and feel like the short of an internal inquiry (unlikely to happen for one cashback claim) as to who changed the marketing channel (presumably so they could claim commission) there's very little I can do as an individual consumer. Has anyone else had this problem? I don't get angry very often as I accept that Quidco cashback is a nice bonus but when the reason for decline is untrue it just feels like a swizz!
In an update - Quidco have now advised that mobiles.co.uk have said "the retailer is telling us that the referral fee for your purchase has been paid to another referrer". Mystified - I don't use any other cashback sites. Quidco also advise that if I'd used any other sites - even something as simple as Google this can invalidate my claim. Again, I'm really disappointed - surely the retailer can see from the time of my purchase and the corresponding order that the order was placed via Quidco?
Please stand up for your customers Quidco!!
An update to the ticket this morning advises "I do understand your frustration and disappointment but the retailer will only accept one cashback query per purchase." How convenient for the retailers - just say 'no' and no-one can ever question your decision! I've emailed Julie Wells and can only cross my fingers for some decent customer service from Quidco......0 -
Good luck Bugalugs, I really hope you get this cashback.
Sadly at the moment it's generally regarded that cashback isn't guaranteed, even the great man himself :money:advises you not to rely on it.

As long as cashback sites are un-regulated, then the situation you are in will always be an issue. It's absolutely ludicrous that these situations can't be resolved though, as all transactions are "time and date" stamped and if only 1 purchase was made then surely it should and could be matched up.
Until that time comes, it's sadly down to trust. No implication that Quidco has done anything wrong, but until "declines" are proven that someone else has been paid, ie, "another marketing channel", then it's not "rocket science" that there will be doubts.
My stance, for what it's worth, is the advertising. All anyone wants, is what is advertised - quite simple really.

So I've been a Quidco member since last year and been very happy with the service. I've chosen to be paid with PayPal and fortunately all my monthly payments have been less than the £25 limit. Now this month I went over the limit and for reasons of my own I can't be paid through BACS.
Is my only choice to close my current Quidco account losing my earnings and then open a new one right after and start from scratch? Or is that even allowed?0 -

Now that you mention it, I checked the Quidco help pages again and that seems to be possible:
Does the account for payment have to be in my name?
No, but the accounts do have to be in the UK.
However then there's this:
Can I change my Payment Method back to PayPal once I've been paid by BACS?
No, we’re sorry, you aren’t able to switch back to PayPal. However BACS is a better payment option as payment amounts can exceed £25 and it’s free.
So I still have to close my account to be able to receive PayPal payments again and lose my tracked earnings in the process but at least I'll get the current payable amount if I find someone to help me out. Thanks for the info! Though I hope I'm allowed to open a new Quidco account after closing the old one...0 -

They won't stop you opening new accounts as they gain £5 from you each time you open one.
Do you not use a free cashback site, ie; no annual fee??
Would be more sensible than paying multiple £5's. :money:This is a moneysaving site, not a moneywasting site.

If you really are intent on opening another Quidco account, make sure you refer yourself as a friend, to earn you £2.50.0
