Good afternoon everyone,
Just to let you all know, High Street Web have temporarily withdrawn from the cashback programme due to the low conversion rate from people clicking through to them. However do be assured that all outstanding transactions are still going to be paid out, so please don’t worry about this. There is unfortunately still a delay with the cashback coming through, which our payments team are working very hard to rectify. We are hoping to have this resolved within the next few weeks, although I’m afraid we cannot guarantee any payment times.
@roxy86 – When the commission is paid to a referrer this could be to a number of places, including another cashback or voucher site, the merchant’s own site, a search engine such as Google, a comparison site to name but a few. If you do not clear your cookies prior to making a purchase, the commission for the sale will be paid to the website who has the strongest cookie recorded; so this may not be Quidco, and in this case it was not Quidco. I’m afraid in a case like this there really is nothing more we can do, as the commission has been paid elsewhere and the merchant will not pay out the commission more than once.
@Poorhouse – I’m afraid LV are delayed at the moment, and our payments team are working very hard to rectify this. The reason that a lot of bigger amounts may take longer is that the bigger amounts are usually for insurance purchases, which generally do take a lot longer to come through than other transactions. This is because insurance purchases have to go through extra checks and send offs to ensure all transactions are genuine, and to eliminate the fraudulent transactions.
@scotty1875 – I’m glad I could help, and I am sorry that we could not provide a more positive outcome for you on this occasion.
@bignred05 – You’re welcome! As for the correct time, you do not need to worry about this; as long as the actual date is correct the merchant should still be able to trace the sale back to your Quidco account.
@shaftingham – Unfortunately purchases that fail to track correctly can take longer to come through, as the affiliate network have the additional process of tracking your sale in, as well as obtaining the cashback from the merchant. Can you clarify if you do have a problem with your purchases not tracking quite often? As this usually points to a problem with your browser settings, and certain settings can prevent the access of the affiliate networks - who we use to track your sales.
Kind regards,

Thank you Lynsey, I have done just what you advised. Just waiting for a response from L&G and I will phone the FOS on Monday.:T
Update -
I received an email from L&G as follows:
"The Quidco offer was only for one policy per household (see T&Cs). We're no part of the cash back offer as this is an offer solely offered by Quidco."
The T& Cs are
Cashback is paid once a genuine application is confirmed and a minimum of three consecutive months premium is successfully collected. If you cancel within this period your cashback will not be paid. Offer limited to one protection policy per person per household in a twelve month period. The cashback is offered and paid by Quidco, not Legal & General. Employees of Legal & General are not eligible. Should you have any queries regarding cashback please contact Quidco. This offer may be amended or withdrawn at anytime. Cashbackers are excluded from any other Legal & General life insurance promotion.
1.Why do Quidco keep telling me that the reason I havent been paid is that they are waiting for funds from L&G?
2. I AM eligible for 2 lots of cashback as one policy was for me and the other for my partner
3. Who is telling the truth?

No, it is not a browser problem, settings and tests are fine! I know this to be correct as when I put in the claims, the Quidco drop-down menu always comes up with the correct time of the transaction, therefore you must be aware of it and it has tracked correctly. This has happened in all cases. It is simply dishonest casinos refusing to log cashback when I haven't lost enough to pay it, despite depositing and wagering the proscribed amount. You should be honest Quidco, and state "If you don't lose the casino will probably not pay your cashback.."UK Consumers: The Gift That Keeps On Giving......0

jintyb, good that you have had a quick reply from L&G, they have seemed to be pretty reliable in the past.
The cashback is offered by Quidco and NOT L&G.
With financial transactions, Quidco would be classed as an "introducer", similar to say a high street insurance company. Quidco gets a "commission" and should pass it on.
That's where the FSO comes in, the way financial products are promoted. When FOS get involved, the company (L&G in this case) will be keen to sort things, hence why the FSO route is better.
Quidco's argument will be that they haven't been paid by the Affilliate Network, but that's not your fault. It's Quidco's job to chase up and make sure transactions are paid in a "reasonable time" and according to the FOS, 6 months is way over a "reasonable time".
Contact the FOS (if you haven't already) and get your pack - the clock starts ticking then.
Good luck.

Hi there, thanks for your reply.
I phoned the FOS and basically they said they couldnt do anything as Quidco were not regulated by them till 10 JAN 2011. We bought the policies in Nov 2010, prior to FOS regulation.
They said they could open a case against L&G but said it would be pointless as the commision is due from Quidco NOT L&G.
I guess I'll just wait and see what Quidco come back with THIS time!

Very surpised at that reply as they have intervened in the past, well before Jan 2011 and once they intervened with L&G it was very quickly resolved, compensation paid and as above, corporate merchandise given.
I would still get a case opened, it would do no harm. See if you get the pack sent out.
You could just "sit it out" and see how good (or bad) Quidco are at sorting long term issues. Please update, it helps others in similar situations.
ASA is another route to "complain".

They may have withdrawn from Quidco, but are available on TCB and tracking without any problems.0 -

I received a reply from Quidco today:
"I am sorry that you have been given this information by the retailer, who have misinformed you. All cashback offered on our site is offered directly by our listed retailers and is processed by any affiliate network that work on their behalf.
It is for this reason that we advise our members against contacting retailers directly as many customer service departments are unaware of Quidco and the service that we offer, which does lead to a lot of wrong information being given.
I am so sorry that your cashback has still not been confirmed. We are still chasing this for you as we know you have been waiting for it for a long time now. Once we receive it we will apply it to your Quidco account immediately and your cashback will update to Confirmed.
I do understand that delays are frustrating but we work through affiliate networks, who process cashback for the retailers and then pass it on to us, and this is why the process can take so long on occasion. It is also why we can never guarantee or specify payment times.
We will let you know as soon as we have an update for you. I do appreciate your patience and I will continue to keep an eye on this for you in the meantime"
I replied quoting the terms and conds which state that the cashback is paid directly from Quidco - I m waiting for the bog standard response of "thank you for your patience" blah blah!
I am really getting truly hacked off with this - nine months waiting!
Will keep you posted!

There seems to be an awful lot of us being "patient" doesn't there ??0
