Hi, I'm querying what's happened to my latest quidco transaction, last night (late about 23.45hrs) I purchased 2 c/less phones from Tesco direct.
now before ordering I cleared my browsing/cookies, I then logged inot quidco, went through the link for Tesco etc, ordered the 2 phones, total value, £39.98, yet for the last 24 hours I have not had any email confirmation from quidco regarding this sale
can you help, please0 -
Actually well worth reading and well worth a rant!!!!!!!!!
Not too sure if it's all the hot weather but there have been lots and lots of problems with declines of late.
Again, it's a financial product, so contact the Financial Ombudsman Service (FSO) 0800 0234567. Also try and contact More Th>n, the marketing dept. if possible.
Well done for taking screenshots as now you can contact the ASA (Advertising Standards Authority and get them involved to look at the form of advertising. Clearly what is being promoted is NOT being given - there is no doubt there.
Best of luck and hope the weather changes.

Thanks for your post Lynsey.
I'll certainly consider the avenues you suggested.
Congrats on finishing the longest post in the history of the MSE forum by the way.
I feel guilty now cos that'll be 10 mins of your life you'll never get back!
Cheers

To be honest, you are very lucky it's a financial product and can easily be sorted.
Contact both L&G (marketing dept.) and the Financial Ombudsman Service (FSO) 0800 0234567. Inform L&G that you are contacting the FOS.
The FSO is already well aware of the way that financial products are promoted/advertised via cashback sites and will take a very dim view of the length of time it has taken to receive this "promotion/enticement".
The FSO will intervene and send you out a pack which you return if not fully sorted within 8 weeks and the FSO will also contact L&G on your behalf to chase up the matter. It will probably be sorted very quickly once L&G have been contacted by the FSO.
Obviously more clout with the FSO chasing things up than say a cashback site.
Good luck, but anyone waiting over 6 months for payment can very, very easily sort out an issue with a financial product. Only let it delay if you want to.

Thank you Lynsey, I have done just what you advised. Just waiting for a response from L&G and I will phone the FOS on Monday.:T

It must have taken well over 10 mins to composeand it's both a learning curve and shows others what's happening.
Your issue does appear to be an advertising issue due to not being given what was advertised - the FSO may well also want to see your screenshots of how a financial product has been "enticed" - good luck.Thank you Lynsey, I have done just what you advised. I would have contacted the FSO yesterday as it would have escalated more quickly once they got involved, but L&G may sort it quickly also as they have been contacted before for this exact issue.
My guess is, it will be sorted fairly quickly and you will possibly receive some L&G merchandise (brolly is pretty good for rainy days and of good quality) and possibly compensation (£20 rings a bell). Not guarenteed of course, but definitely possible on past experiences.
Possibly you will also be contacted by a marketing company asking for your feedback on how L&G handled this issue. That would be your choice whether to co-operate.
Good luck to both of you, sad you have to fight this yourselves, but you really do want what is advertised, nothing else..........and of course in a reasonable time.

Anyone having bad experiences with Quidco and HOTELS4U?
Payment performance stats proudly proclaim 100% payment in 60 days, yet 180 days after tracking and I'm still waiting.
My real issue is with Quidcare who vaguely respond to tickets saying there is a known issue [..] payment processing delay with the affilliate and [..] they are working to resolve the issue. They've been saying this for months now.
Post DGM, we're all a little sensitive to "affiliate issues", and for what is a paid for service I expect more than what feels amount to fob offs!0 -

Hi Jules,
Like iduno86, I have been waiting for the previously held transactions for Vista and HSW to be paid. I know this is due to a change of network but this is getting beyond a joke. I know your all working relentlessly to get this resolved but an idea of a proper timeframe would be appreciated rather than the generic response we have received at least 4 different times this has been queried.
If you unable to get the network to pay, just say so although it will go further to damage Quidco's reputation especially now Quidco can afford to advertise on TV.0 -
Good morning,
I hope you've all had a lovely weekend.
@prop55 – I’m very sorry this is still outstanding and I’ll be happy to take a closer look at this for you. Can I ask you to contact me via juliewells@quidco.com with details of this transaction.
@scotty1875 – Our admin team did investigate this further for you and they have confirmed that you did receive the correct amount of cashback. As you clicked the More Th>n Premium Insurance cashback link and only purchased Car Insurance, you were given the correct amount of cashback for a Car Insurance purchase which was £25. As you actually clicked through the Premium Insurance link and purchased something other than Premium Insurance, it is very lucky that any cashback was awarded on this occasion, as usually if you click through to a merchant and purchase something other than what you have clicked through to, the cashback will typically be declined.
In regards to the quote reference, the Quidco page would not have shown this as the quote reference isn’t generated until after you have clicked through to the merchant site and started the quote.
@bignred05 – Don’t worry, some purchases can take up to 3 days to track and sometimes longer. If your purchase has not tracked in within 3 days time, please raise a missing cashback claim by going to http://www.quidco.com/new-enquiry.
@dbuk44 – I have replied to you on the Moan Zone regarding this. Please do note that the statistics only currently show how quickly cashback has been paid to us. As soon as we receive the payment for these outstanding Hotels4U transactions, the statistics will update accordingly.
@anna42hmr – I have also replied to your post on the Moan Zone regarding this.
@Poolie – Our payments team are making a lot of progress with the network, although it is taking a lot longer than we’d have liked. I’m afraid we can’t offer a time frame for payment at the moment as we honestly don’t know; although we are hoping to have a lot of these transactions cleared up within the next month or so.
@luckymann – Can you just clarify whether the cashback amount is correct for this purchase? Don’t worry if the actual amount you paid is showing up wrong; this only really needs to be correct if you have made a purchase where the cashback awarded is a percentage. If the cashback for this purchase is a set amount, e.g. £35, and it has tracked in correctly, then you have nothing to worry about.
Kind regards,

Having read the problems with Quidco here, I'll relate my experiences. I have made numerous transactions which have mostly been tracked (although some initially tracked a wrong amount) and paid with little problem. except the Nokia online shop.
It seems to me that you should mainly beware of GAMBLING cashback, because aside from one bingo (which i lost over 50 on lol...) I have not had one of the other 3 tracked or paid, including bidrivals and 888poker, and have had to make claims on all. 4 months on nothing....
My view is that because I won or broke even on the rest and didn't close the accounts (but never used them again) I have not lost enough to be paid. It seems a good deal because you deposit say £20 to earn a supposed £20 cashback and then also get this doubled by the site so play with £40, and win or lose you would still be paid your stake back via Quidco, although we all know that bonus playthrough requirements make it very hard to win from the actual sites.
I notice some say a 'genuine player' so I assume this means a mug punter who becomes addicted or a steady player and loser. In EVERY case I matched the T&c's of the deposit but have yet to see ANY confirmed where I merely played the minimum requirement amount and either lost only that amount or won and withdrew.
I would avoid gambling site offers; it seems they don't pay cashback easily to those who don't lose a bigger amount to cover it....
So, hearing all the negativity on here about QUIDCO, I joined TCB. In my opinion, far worse. By a long way.
Despite earning over 130 pounds, 30 of this hasn't tracked (yes, you guessed it: gambling sites where I played the minimum and either won or only lost the minimum cashback requirement!) £12.62 on BingoCams tracked correctly and became payable at 0.00, a couple of small freebies tracked and became payable at 0.00 so I have to date received the princely amount in 2 months of 64 pence survey cash payable.....
EVERY other item that has confirmed has mysteriously become payable at 0.00.
On QUIDCO every tracked amount thus far, over 20 transactions totalling over £150, has confirmed and been paid.
So, sorry to the dissenters here, QUIDCO has proved FAR better thus far.UK Consumers: The Gift That Keeps On Giving......0 -
I've had my Vodafone Sim Only purchase from Dec 2010 sitting at £1 since then. I was happy because I knew it "should" revert to the full amount after confirmation of my contract etc.
However it has changed from tracked to confirmed as £0. I cannot find any option thru the help menu which allows me to query/challenge this situation.
