got one of these loads left at 2:00pm. just one thing all the boxes at my local had been seletaped. are they like this anywhere else? why are they selotaped?

not tried it out yet.0 -
Rubbish unfortunately. Plays audio CDs but anything else e.g. regular movie DVD it struggles for a couple of minutes then displays "bAd diSC". Taking it back to Lidl ASAP.I ♥ MSE0

My box was sellotaped. I'm sure it was done at HO before they got to the stores. They were all like this the ones I saw and when I opened the box it was factory perfect.
I've been reading around and it will probably only go upto 150GB HDD and only if it's formatted in FAT32.
Instructions here how to do it can be found here.

(hint it's a url and it's tiny)
I've actually got a 20GB 3rd Gen Ipod I don't use and someone has this working. If I can get a 1GB USB to work then I'll be happy. Can't ask much for £30.No reliance should be placed on the above.0 -
just tried with my wd 120gb portable hd and no luck. but it is formatted to NTFS and so might have to reformat it.0

Yeah but does it play stuff off external harddrives 150gig +?0

The ebuyer looks a good find, but I don't think it's progressive (no component out) and most other USB DIVX players are only USB1.1 and that's not enough bandwidth for a movie to play properly. The lidl machine is USB 2.0 which is ok for movies.
Chances are if you have a decent quality usb drive and a HDD under 150GB formatted to FAT32 then it will work.No reliance should be placed on the above.0 -
just tried my 1gb sd card and it aint having none of it. :sad:0
