It is a Card Reader that reads camera cards, so that pictures taken on a digital camera can be played back simply on to your TV via the DVD Player.

How do we know this is in Lidl from April the 4th? There's no mention on their website... Sorry, not doubting anyone here, just making sure it's not a wasted journey!

Why all the fuss? Thought most DVD players did all this (apart from the card reader) now?

i suppose the fuss is that it is a freeview, dvd player, digital radio, card reader all for under a hundred quid and would look nice in a small kitchen

I dont think it has a freeview tuner! Basically this dvd can play divx files stored on hdd's and so need to burn them onto dvds you simply plug your hdd into the usb slot and play movies from it. you would pay £30 fro a standard divx dvd player and so this is fairly cheap for one with a usb port.

It may well not be in your local Lidl, their offers are sometimes regional and subject to the postcode that you input to the site.
