hi guys, a few questions:
1) is this software updateable for future versions of divx/xvid codecs ?
2) can it handle all existing versions of divx/xvid codecs0 -

It has a USB slot too but it only recognises my 80Gb External Hard Drive when it's formatted to Fat32 not NTFS.
I doubt that you bought a Tevion from Lidl's, more likely Aldi's.;)0 -

If you say so, I have never seen any Tevion products at Lidl's, only Aldi's along with Medion products ( same company ).
The only Brands of DVD Players that I have seen at Lidl's are Comag / Silvercrest, again, the same company.
My Cousin works for Lidl's, and she has never seen any Medion products for sale either.0 -
Lidl favour Targa , in particular their computers but have had many smaller items over the years .

Agreed about the Targa Computers, good support from Targa as well.0

I saw a Technosonic (or something like that) DVD player in Woolworths today for £39.99 which had DIVX, XVID, WMA logos plastered on it and also stated it had HDMI output. It may be this one (courtesy of Google Cache since it is no longer on their website) which also says it has a card reader built-in. Also Seemed like a fair price for this spec. Anyone know if this model is any good?
Have also seen a Techwood model on their website for £34.99 although it is not available until 16 April, and has no mention of DIVX etc.0 -
thats the same one that Aldi were selling a few months ago (Tevion 8000)

do a google search on it and youll probably find a lot of reviews, the remote control layout was not very intuitive IMHO and had to pointed accurately at the player. It has the Zoran 888 chipset and the Lidl one the Zoran 886 not sure which is more recent but they both operate very similar IMHO. It hasnt got USB like the Lidl one but does have HDMI connector.
review here in German

it might be worth waiting for this if Lidl UK have it in
