Electricity prices Current† New†
First 225kWh used each quarter (Before) 17.176p (After) 22.492p (31% increase)
All/Day remaining kWh (Before) 7.795p (After) 10.216p (31% increase)
Tariff: WWW Premier Plus (No Standing Charge)

I thought it was only going up 10% Electric and 19% Gas!!!!???
I'm on Online Energy Saver 11 tariff so not sure what this means to me as details above are not the same tarriff? I only joined up with them Nov 2010 because they were amongst the cheapest at that time.
Does anyone know if I'm tied to a contract?I am a mortgage broker. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Is this allowed!!?? For them to raise the prices to whatever they want and for us to still be tied to a contract when obviously the prices when signed up are considerably less!
looking at your email above why is the rate different considering we are both on OES 11?
PS I'm in Middlesbrough0 -

Different areas ,different prices. Most people here that have swapped tariffs within SP have not had to pay the exit fee.Call them and make sure but you should be fine.0 -

7.795 8.135 4%
Gas

4.968 6.712 35%
2.581 2.587 00%

Have most changed to the SP Capped or to SP Direct?
PS was told exit fee is £51.060 -
So it's not true that the exit fee is waived if you switch internally with SP?0
-
I wouldn't be so sure
When I called them today I think they were trying to tell me that the "cancellation fee for your procuct" was not the same as the early exit fee (there is no cancellation fee for my product, but there is an early exit fee)

Well, I'm on OES 6 - a product being withdrawn on 31st July. I've just had the email notifying of the price changes and that I will automatically be switched to their standard tariff, but interestingly, MY email has the paragraph " *If you notify us that you wish to do this before 31st July 2011 and we receive a request for your supply from another supplier within 15 working days, we will not move you to our standard monthly Direct Debit prices. If you have an outstanding debt, we may object to your supply leaving us, but we will give you time to pay the debt and leave us without incurring the increased price."
Note the lack of the sentence "we will not apply the price increase or the cancellation fee for your product." that has been present in other emails mentioned in this thread.
I can only presume that SP intend to charge exit fees here. I will have to bite the bullet and ring them - when I have an hour or two spare to sit listening to hold music.0 -
Just come off the phone and they have offered me -
....
PS was told exit fee is £51.06
When i rang yesterday, the representative said that moving internally within plans incurred no fees at all - cancellation or early exit!
I have moved based on that ! Let's see in the next days when i get the documentation through!0 -
I have just changed from Online saver 13 to online saver 14. Took two minutes just had to give meter readings and SP staff very helpful. Moneysupermarket told me it would save me £89 so good result and saves switching to another supplier for them to raise their prices which they undoubtedly will.0
