morning everyone.
feeling happier than the other day. DH managed to get home earliesh (by 7:30) last night, and i started trying to put charlie into gina fords routine yesterday. The poor little thing is full of cold at the moment and off his grub, so he wants to sleep more than he should, but it made so much difference him being in bed and us having some tim together.
DH printed off piccies for our xmas cards, so i may try and get them posted. (will update my avator i a bit to show you a cute piccie of charlie) I also said that i would pop into work today, as they had OFSTED in again this week, and we were taken out of special measures:beer: finally, which is the best xmas pressie as everyone has worked hard to do this within 4 school terms.
otherwise, will be trying to continue with Charlie in bed early, and try to get some stuff done myself in the evening. Now should that be the ironing? or should i just ignore that and start making the stockings i want to make, cos if i don't start soon i will not get them done. (although thanks to catowen, i may want to watch anthea, so the stockings may win as i can do that and watch telly.)
Happy birthday to mummy moo, sorry quasar about your charlie. Hugs all round. vicky hope work doesn't wear you out too much today.
Saw santa last night as the local charity group did their collection, so i am starting to feel a bit festive.

Well the floor is now ready. Tomorrow the floor coverings go down. Praise the Lord.
On the down side on Monday we have to get lots of plastic and cover them and tape it as the painting isn't finished. I'm so over this building your own house lark, and wish it was bloody well finished.
Guess what we start on the Saturday. I know you will all be jealous. It's the tiling. Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh :jand putting the flatpak kitchen together. Double yeahhhhhhhhh.
Not much I can do up there tomorrow so will wash, iron, catch up down here while the cricket is on.It's a shame Monty didn't do the Full Monty
he would have been more entertaining to watch.
Happy Birthday Mummymoo & Welcome niterider.
Tutti Ouch. Try and stay off it as much as you can. Good excuse to stay on MSE. I must use that one.
Well off to have a bit of a surf before hitting the sack. ByeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Happy Birthday Mummymoo!!!
Have a fantastic day!!
Well Barcelona was fab, if a little exhausting. We managed a lay in this morning as stayed at MIL so we could get up at 7.30 instead of 6 which really was needed.
It's deathly quiet at work so I'm going to write all the Christmas cards, then write out a meal plan and do a stock up shop with Sainsbury's vouchers tonight. Hopefully I've got a meat hamper from Jimmy's farm arriving today so I have to make room in the freezer. It'll be a case of 'guess the contents of the tuppaware tonight. Is it curry, chilli, spag bog?! ) I think I'll also start working on the budget for January too. At home I MUST put on the WM as I'm on my last bra and trousers!!
I keep getting complaints today as I stupidly managed to spill half a litre of petrol all over me this morning and despite changing my clothes, fabreezing and washing as best I can I still stink.Good job it's mild as we've got to have the windows open....
Well that's it - not much more to report today. Have a lovely day all and I hope everyone's nativities and littleuns do really well.New year, no debt! Debt free date - 02/01/07 :j :j :j0 -
Hi Guys
Happy Birthday MammaMoo!
Snowy - I think I would have made it easier for him to recognise his car in future - thanks to the great big dent the trolley would've left in his car when I 'slipped'.
Had a good chuckle at your story Skystar - that's just the sort of thing I'd do!
Gin gin, hope your little one is well enough for his play. Pineapple is very good for bad throats - and keep you own intake of water up to help keep it at bay.
Oooo - Catowen, thanks for the tip off. I'll tune in tonight and maybe old Anthea can get a rocket where it belongs for me!
Pooky - have a fantastic night tonight. I keep meaning to take a night to the piccies with friends but never get around to it - so make sure you doubly enjoy it 'cause your doing it for me tooAnd yes, you really should stretch to a bag of popcorn, even at hideous pictures prices (just in case you wondered)
Churchmouse - hope you have a great girlie night tonight hun.
Bargain Rzl, hope you have a fab time at the party - what a bargain to get that skirt, well done you.
Nelski - a woman after my own heart, daytime telly and surfing at the same time! In my ideal world I'd have both fitted in the kitchen and perhaps I'd then get some O/Sing done!
The Dark morns and nights are certainly sapping my energy, roll on spring time! My body clock is all over the place at the moment, and I'm soo looking forward to the break from college. If I had my life over I'd certainly move to Australia or similar. CE' la vie.
So far today I've achieved...... getting more quotes for car insurance and taking the first one I found!
Got so confused in the end I'm not even sure I did it through quidco - it seemed to work out dearer that way, except for the 'cash back' but apparently that insurer isn't performing too well on paying the cash back... I think I finally decided to opt for the 'cheaper quote' as opposed to the 'cash back later'
House is a mess, I've loads of housework to do, and I need to spend some time on my finances, so what am I doing? Talking to you my friends ;-)
Well, I've been promising myself for weeks that once I'm on top of everything I'll be able to chat to you all regularly again, but the more I get done the less everyone else does, and the more there seems to be to do!!!!
Ok, Time to pull out my timer and get flying......
Love and hugs to you all,
Kaz x
Ps Aussie - I am actually VERY jealous. Lovely new house, built as you want and best of all A NEW KITCHEN (ok, better if someone else was doing the work, but still well cool!) (((HUGS)))
PPS - anyone feeling behind with Christmas? I've not written a single card yet, lol.January '06 Grocery Challenge (4th - 31st) £320.Week 1 - £73.99 Week 2 £5.10 (so far)
Someone burst my bubble and I lost the plot so no idea what I spent now...Other Jan :- Petrol £20.41, Clothes £8.50, House £3.I will try to work it out.

Morning everyone
skystar, gingin I should have come online too at 4 a.m. – couldn’t sleep. Finally slept after Penninewoman got up and opened window even with the gale blowing outside. Did help. But had to get up again at 6:15 as usual.
Gingin – hope ds gets well soon.
But back to bed at 8 and then up again at 10:30 after, (of course you know by now) B I G cat started scratching the bed and then the wallpaper!!
Thinking now of popping over the moors to M&S and picking up one or two essentials from there that I can’t get locally.
Then start filling in application for a Blue Badge for my mum.
Then:
Kitchen floor
Stairs
Bedroom
Christmas cards that I’ve not yet written
Lunch sometime – beans on toast today I think.
Practice a few piano pieces
. . . .and then no doubt Penninewoman will be back . . . . .
Hope all who’re under the weather recover soon.
And talking of weather, yes, it was just a little breezy last night Icemaiden.

Arrrgghhh - the best laid plans and al that!!
Thought I was on top of the xmas pressie shopping. Ordered a new mobile for Mr TM via Boots, got his PAC and everything - then got an email to say they were having trouble "tracing" my houseEmailed a copy of a CC statement as requested and all went quiet. Just rang up now to ask where the phone is - and as T-Mobile haven't been able to verify my address, they've cancelled the order!! WHAT? The house has been here 85 yrs, we've been here 4 1/2, so what's the problem ? (I'm told T-mobile have this problem quite often) So, have given the girl another CC and she's ordered it again. I'd best get my £360 of Boots points or there will be hell to pay, cos that's why I got it
Anyway, SIL has gone home so I can go to the carpet shop now, or maybe into town for some curtains. Vac'd downstairs and tidied kitchen.> Got assorted bits out of freezer for tea - will be a curry night, maybe a plum crumble for afters (what? They don't usually go together? They do in this house :rotfl:)
Ok, well, it' raining here (for a change). I shall change out of my ever-so-fetching tracky pants, put a load in WM and head out. Carpet-Right, here I come LOL.

Good afternoon all, and happy birthday to Mummymoo! :j :T
Last night I found, tucked away awkwardly in the bathroom cupboard where the tank is, a large bag with some clothes I forgot I had. Go ahead, call me names - I deserve it. Anyway, these clothes are in perfect condition, and include a black jumper which fits me perfectly and feels very warm. So that's sorted: a jumper nobody has seen me in yet, so practically new. I still have to decide about the rest as they look a bit passé.
Now going out shortly to do some work, for one must earn one's living somehow, but back this evening for a light dinner - still don't know what though.
Have a good afternoon everyone :wave:Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
Hi everyone!
I'm off to read the thread shortly but hugs to those who need them!
All is well here today. We enjoyed our dollshouse club social last night...good to catch up with some old faces and jolly splendid eats. OH also sold something which was most definitely not part of the plan [we wouldn't dream our peddling our wares so to speak] but nevertheless a very welcome £50 just before Chrimbo.
OS today has been usual fast tidying up and hoovering throughout. As will actually be in for the first time tonight this week I shall use the time to menu plan and do a shopping list. Hope to be able to pick up as much of the non persishable food for Chrimbo as poss this week. Also stocked up on the old Stardrops on the way into work,
Fluffy scarf is progressing well and should be ready for Christmas day. I find it very relaxing but the mad cat seems to be able to get it wound all round her legs every time as she fights it in an attempt to find a space on my lap:rotfl: :rotfl: She is such a herbert at times!!
We've got the company Xmas dinner this Sat all paid for...it's a lovely restaurant which does a monthly menu based on local Sussex produce. What a treat...can't wait!!
