Morning all.
What a lovely day it is here today. The sunshine is filling the room and it's so bright. Love days like this. Hoping my washing is done in time to benefit from it as its also really windy, so the perfect drying conditions for this time of year.
Well my lovely clean house got totally trashed with having mum here yesterday. She doesn't tend to cook much for herself nowadays so I love to do her something special when she comes. Trouble was, with my back hurting, I used all the energy preparing the meal, and later meal for lads, and was too worn out to do a proper clean up. So now I have a mucky kitchen to sort out.
Going to go stick a cheese and onion loaf in the breadmaker for later and run up a lasagne for tea. DS2 needs a bit of help with his maths and then I'm gonnna snatch some time to look online and pick some books from the library for over the holidays.
Enjoys your day everyone.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

Morning everyone!!
To my shame not been up very long at all. After yesterday's efforts, I didn't get anything done in the evening. Just sat up until very late to pick up DH from the station. He was out on his work's meal. Finally got to bed just after 12.30. Think I was asleep before my head hit the pillow!!:rotfl: :rotfl: But at least now I'm finally awake I feel quite refreshed. Must get out to try and buy something to wear for my girls night out tonight. Do you think I've left it too late?:o
Happy birthday mummymoo!
Just caught up with the cricket, didn't we do well:D But they have struck back!! No need for Aussie to get too worried:p
Well must get on, ((((hugs)))) for those who would like one.

Good morning everyone. :hello:
I have been posting on MSE for about 9 months now and it is an excellent site and forum. This is my first time on this type of thread.
My partner and I had a very pleasant afternoon off work yesterday to celebrate being together 14 years. Weather wasn’t too nice so we had a nice meal and watched some DVDs. Very enjoyable.
My partner has her work’s Christmas lunch this afternoon while I will be at home probably on the Net, MSE of course, among others.:D
Hope everyone has a good day.

Hi everyone,
Managed to wrap most of the presents last night but ran out of paper (I didn't buy any because I thought I had enpough left over from last year). Managed to lose a present as well - a tube of the expensive moisturiser DD uses, I picked it up to take down to wrap with some other presents and it has disappeared, I've searched high and low.
Hopefully DH will bring some more paper home tonight so we can finish (if he remembers it will be a first).
Everyones stories of nativity plays etc are bringing back lovely memories for me.0 -
:santa2: Morning!
I have really got to sit at the table and finish off all the cards today! Then I can go have some fun in the kitchen. I got some parsnips in the veg box yesterday and would like to freeze them just in case I don't get many in the christmas order. Then I want to have a go at some of the hm sweetie recipes on here, especially the chocolate coconut one. I still have to marzipan my brandied cherries as well.
Off to visit friend tonight in hospital in London, hopefully she will be well enough to come home soon.
((((Hugs)))) to all those feeling poorly.
Forgot to say that the decoration for day 14 is my favourite, a wooden nativity musical box, it plays silent night while the nativity scene (all in natural wood) turns around. We bought it in Cologne 6 years ago at the Christmas Market. I would love to be able to go back one day!
Happy Birthday Mummymoo! :bdaycake:

Good morning all, hugs to all that need it today and happy birthday mummymoo, i hope you have a lovely day. Well it's been a busy couple of days and yesterday didn't go to well at all.
I was shopping in wilko's and just coming out of an aisle near the tills when a stupid young lad who works there rammed a shopping trolley into me. (he was near enough running down the shop with the trolley) and now my foot and knee are bruised and swollen. Couldn't sleep last night because of the pain  I was so angry that when he said are you all right i had a right go at him and walked out of the shop. Anyhoo i've now only got to get my dad's present and knit some things for my nieces and it's all done phew. (still haven't made the mince pies though
)
Have a lovely day whatever you are doing and take care of yourselves

Morning
Happy Birthday Mummymoo:j Have a lovely day
Printing off loads more workbooks today :wall: - I have a lad now who comes in part time to help make up the files so the more I can get printed for him coming in this evening the better. I sometimes listen to Jeremy Kyle when Im doing boring work stuff and it doesnt half make you realise what awful lives some people lead (was a bit teary this morning about a poor girl in an abusive relationship) and then there was the girl hooked to the internet.............  cant imagine how that could happen.
Gets happier soon though with good old phil and fearn:T May treat myself to an aerial point in the office in the new year then I can watch as well as listen
- but then again maybe not a good idea:o
Doing a friend a favour at lunch today - he is a close up magician and has a job locally for a christmas party and couldnt get a lift - hes a brilliant magician so I love to see him do his stuff.:T
Also got to recycle all the cardboard I gained with the printer yesterday - its crazy it fills the hallway:eek: and visit staples for some stationary for work (almost as fun as shoe shopping sadly) - in almongst all of this I will probably eat some HM soup (made in some one elses home of course:rotfl: ) and then settle in later for a good laugh at Anthea Turner:T
Hope you all have a great day

Good morning everyone,
Not much to report today from the house of Valentine. I'm a bit more organised for Christmas with my Secret Santa present bought and most of my cards written & addressed - I just need to pop to the post office at lunchtime to post the ones for abroad (too late, I know).
I'm still retching every morning straight after I get up and I'm really not enjoying this as it makes me cry. Still really exhausted too and feeling very tearful and just want Christmas etc to be over (I know, weird eh?) so that we can have the scan in early January and know that everything is okay and start to tell everyone. My parents know now and have been really supportive, but I do think I told them a bit early as they aren't getting excited until after the scan either which is adding to my worry.
Just got a couple of wee things to get for Christmas now - for my OH and a couple of family members. I'm going to have to brave a supermarket on Friday 22nd at some point so will hopefully get everything there in one fell swoop.
I really need some maternity bras and some winter boots too - both desperately so I might have to head into town this weekend for these. I'm been avoiding it for weeks but I can't avoid it forever. I can't afford either too but needs must.
Hugs to everyone,
Valentine xxx0
