Morning All :santa2:
Hope everyone's well today. Kids break up from school tomorrow, so it's panic Christmas shopping today for all the little extra surprises that Father Christmas brings.
I NEED to walk the dogs today. Poor things missed out yesterday. I had to wait for the TV repairman in the morning. Then Dad visited for lunch. Straight after it was reading group at school and then it was raining so hard it wasn't fair to make the kids come with me to walk the dogs.Mind you, it's so windy here at the moment we might be blown over the hills and far away.
This afternoon I'm helping with DD2's school dance troupes visit to a local Old Peoples Home. Last week was fun (but I missed it). They visited a unit for 'confused' elderly people. Apparently one lady in the front row took out her teeth and was clapping them together in time to the music
My Mum and her partner are coming at the weekend to have an early Christmas celebration with us. I need to plan and buy for that today. And I must, MUST post some Christmas cards. We have family in NZ and I'm sure I've missed the last posting date. Bad Me!!
OH has been called to a 'special' meeting at work today which is a bit worrying. I'll find out tonight what it's all about, but it's all a bit odd.
Well I better get the kids up. There is the thunder of tiny hooves coming from upstairs, so someone is up and about.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone,
No packed lunches to make today as DS and DD have christmas dinner at school!!!! Forgot to say yesterday, when their head teacher gave her little 'speach' before the show started, she made a big thing about it being a 'christmas' concert, not a holiday festival, which went down very well with us parents. Nice that our school still has some sense.
Have 2 little ones here today, although one is at nursery in the morning. Whilst she is there we will be popping into town to pay some money into the bank, and get some milk. Might pick up a chocolate profiterole desert in the co-op whilst there, it is my fav shop-bought pud, but they only do it at christmas, so might treat us.
Aussie - the cricket isnt going as well for you today, but going on previous performance, i wouldnt worry too much yet!!!!!
Right, off to finish my cuppa and have a browse - keep your fingers crossed that little ones dad does my toilet today!!!!
Have a lovely day everyone,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

Have a good day everyone!I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Good Morning All
Not doing much today as its my birthday. Kitchen already tidied up and lounge straightened. Going to make beds and get me and DD dressed in a min, then write some more christmas cards. Meeting M&D for lunch, then will do some baking this afternoon. Going out for dinner so no cooking for me today YEAH (baking doesn't count, its fun). May do the ironing or I might leave it to tomorrow!!

Morning All Hope we are well
Very windy outside.
DS got his Xmas dinner at school today
Work this morning, doing my usual hrs, due to going to see Snow Patrol in Manchester later. Looking forward to it. It will be a mad rush, but worth it.
Not much to say (4 a change)
Ex should have dropped kids off last night at 7.30pm, it was 8.15pm when they came back. Its so frustrating, he's never on time and turns up when he feels like it. Never mind that I might have plans!
Anyway, take care, and have a lovely day

Morning all! Late one for me. I've had to take DH into town to gret a lift. He's off for a meal with w*** this lunchtime, with a taxi back. By the time I was back, DD needed her homeowok printing, and DS was fainting away through starvation.
DD sang in the school choir last night. It was lovely (much better than I was expecting, I admit), in 4 parts. DD sings alto (like me) despite being a slim one. Their sound was beautiful, but, as usual, they could have done with more deep voices. Not easy, though, as there's no 6th form.
I'm singing again tonight, and providing lasagne and garlic bread for some friends before the concert. We're all off to the pub afterwards - thirsty work singing!
Off to read the rest of the thread now. Have a great day, OSers.Penny_Watcher wrote:This afternoon I'm helping with DD2's school dance troupes visit to a local Old Peoples Home. Cat, thanks for the reminder about Anthea. I'll set the video.
Big hugs for all the littlies feeling under the weather. It's no fun at this time of year when they're so busy.
Welcome and Happy Birthday to Mummy Moo!

Just been catching up on the cricket news
that's more like it - Go Monty !! Any comment Aussielass ?
Still got OH under my feet. It's like a furnace in our house. Because he's not been moving about much 'cos he's got to keep his shoulder still he's getting cold, I, on the other hand am roasting
Went to dd's nativity play last night. They go to a catholic school so we get a proper nativity, but they seem to have dispensed with traditional carols altogether now. Not even Away in a Manger:(0 -
Morning all, from a very windy Pennines:eek:
Laid awake again listening to the roof creaking! Woke DH up at one point, was he interested? NO, and of course I'm over reacting.
My iron went pop yesturday so will have to purchase a new one today, think its given up in exhaustion as I'm trying to get the ironing all done & dusted so its not hanging around over the holidays.
Last performance of the nativity play this afternoon its been really funny so far as only the reception children take part so you can imagine the things that have been happening.
Jam packed activities next week so will pop in when I can, in the mean time hugs to everyone & take care
