    Morning all

    Hugs to those in need.

A very blustery day here - just how I like it - proper winter weather.

DD's have xmas party at school today so they'll be all hyped up when they come home then it's off to the hospital to see our fertility doc.....fingers crossed that last months rounds of blood tests show no further complications.

I'm actually going out tonight  Off to the cinema with a friend - it's a rare occurance that we manage to meet up without the kids so I'm very much looking forward to it. DD's have already done the.............but whyyyyyyyyyyy do you have to go out............DH has done the......no, I'll be fine, all by myself all evening!!! Geezzz you just can't win:rolleyes:

OS wise - must get some birthday cards sorted and the last few xmas cards. DH showed a picture of the stockings I made at work and one woman is desperate to have one made for her daughter......wants to know how much I'll charge :j My mother also wants one - full up - She's been so good to us of late so will make her a mini one (can't afford to fill a big one!) as a surprise.

As I'm going out I'm not doing dinner so I've told DH that's his job to worry about....I'm guessing it'll be a trip to the chippy.

    Have a good day all.

Off now to empty the dishwasher - have a great day.
  • Morning everyone :santa2: :rudolf:

Kids off to school with neighbour so I'm vegging in bed. Have had pints of tea and am feeling chilled. SIL is here but is still fast asleep.

It was the school xmas dinner yesterday, but as I didn't pay in time (bad mummy), my poor lads were some of the few sitting there with their butty boxes :o Never mind, DS2 is off to see "Snow White" this morning.

Depends on what time SIL goes home today as to what I do. Have some laundry to do and the remains of a packet of jammy dodgers to hoover up (boys!!) Mum's just been on the phone asking me when I'm going to take her parcels to the post office (my sister lives 2 minutes away and isn't working now!!) I wasn't going to go over today :(

Work-wise, need to buy some carpet and curtains sometime this week and choose some paint colours so that the decorator is ready to go straight after the New Year. Need to liaise with the electrician too. Then I think that job is all "in the bag" :j

So, (((hugs))) to all and sometimes I wish I had Sky Sports so I could watch the cricket. :D

    Have a great day

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUMMY MOO XXX
  • Morning folks :hello:

Well, after planning a quiet evening and an early night yesterday, I worked quite late and then as I left the office it suddenly occurred to me that I didn't have anything to wear to the party I've been invited to this evening  - This is not a typical female "I don't have a thing to wear"... I LITERALLY didn't own a suitable outfit. I chucked out my only informal party frock last time I did a charity shop run, and don't even own a pair of black trousers which I could have "sexed up" with a cheap funky top! Anyway, I ended up schlepping up to Debenhams and spending the ENTIRE EVENING there, having a frustrating time trying on what seemed like every outfit in the shop. I'm slightly overweight with big boobs and everything either fits badly (tried on a fab bustier that was too tight in a size 16  ) or makes me look like a middle-aged matron (I'm 28!), and what's more, much as I like clothes shopping under some circumstances, I HATE it when I need something urgently and know I've got to find it!

Anyway, I ended up with a black floaty skirt with an asymmetrical hem (£35 reduced from £70 at Kaliko - I love Kaliko stuff because it fits my figure, looks expensive and most of it's machine washable!) and though I didn't find a top to go with it, I will improvise with a plain black one and some bling jewellery :D

By then I really needed to go to the loo which took me through the homewares department and I ended up buying a pair of pink and brown oven gloves and a matching pinny :o

Got home, ate dinner (fishcake, new potatoes and carrots, plus a couple of glasses of wine) and went to bed. So much for my evening of unpacking some more boxes and doing my accounts!

Sooooo, off to party tonight, in the meantime I'm v.v. busy at work so will need to crack on. ((((Hugs)))) to anybody who needs them.

    Rzl xx
