Is something wrong with our house?

i have asked friends in the past as i'm always a little paranoid but they've always said no, and we don't have carpets anywhere except the stairs and upstairs landing, all the rest of the house is original floorboards or tiling.
Oh well, will try and make sure the girls not stinking the place out and go from there, I do have to draw the line at losing the cat to sell the house!0 -
I think it is probably a bit too expensive. It looks lovely, but it is a starter home and not really quite big enough for a family. I think your price needs to be closer to £300k.0

That chap who got sacked from the BBC for playing a joke on Sacks, can't say his R's properly, what's his name? Anyway, he had great trouble selling his old home, which they'd moved out of. Then a friend told him about the smell- that he was oblivious to. He stuck new carpets in, cleaned it, and it sold. If you can work out the guy's name - sorry I'm not good at names- you can google for the story.
Edit: Ask some non-catty people if they smell anything.

It's each to their own, I thought it wasnt as nice outside, and not well presented inside.0 -

Front Aspect
Front aspect of the property.
I'd say they've copy/pasted it from another document, perhaps one where the text above would be the title and narrative for the picture.0 -
It is a lovely house, however, it may be a little overpriced.
Personally, I do not like the fact that there is a pub 100 metres away, it is on a main road and quite far from the station.0 -
ray123 - the pub is something that i think may be putting off buyers, it's only a small local pub but it is a fair point, we're only a 15 minute walk from the train station so i don't think it's too bad but with the pub, road and stations there's not much we can do....but then it is around £50k less than similar sized terraced properties in a cul-de-sac e.g. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-30289084.html
this one is less than 5 mins walk from our house but obviously not on a main road.0 -
Your roof looks tired and the fence is a issue,For that sort of money I would expect tip top condition.Inside the house looks good.0

First of all I think the house looks very nice inside, super modern with features which is going to appeal to people.
Yes, there are always things you could change to make the photos looking better like changing the fence etc, but being honest, nobody ever bought a home just by looking at the details, they are their to entyce people to come and view.
Considering your marketing is pretty good, it then comes down to two other factors
1. Price
2. Are the agent any good
Even though I live within 10 miles of Windsor, I dont know the market to well but I know the area.
Unfortunately at the moment unless comptitively priced, houses are taken longer to sell at the moment. It also depends on your circumstances and how quickly you want to sell it.
You also said your agent/viewers have not given any constructive feedback, when to be honest that feedback is going to be more valuable than any feedback anyone will give you here.
I think you should have an open conversation with your agent, and ask them the real reason why its not selling, and ask them to be honest (even if it offends you)
As you will find a lot of agents will tell you what you want to hear at the risk of upsetting you and losing business.0 -
I think it looks lovely but tbh I feel a bit sick seeing the price ... round here they are NOT that expensive.0
