Thanks DFw. Just used my tesco points to get the remaining vouchers for our trip to the zoo. Only had £4.50 but needed £5 to get the right amount of vouchers for the remaining . Had 90 points not yet turned into vouchers so rang them and a nice man on the phone ordered the vouchers and took away some of the points for the extra 50p = £20 worth of zoo vouchers. Think we will pay about £2 for the whole day so very happy with that.
Been on our trip to get double buggy and it looks good so very happy with that - will make my life a lot easier when niece is here. On way home we visited nana and it seemed that half the family chose that moment too so was very busy there today.
Having a quiet day today just playing and watching films as been busy last week - weather dull and kids tired so think they will be happy with that. Tomorrow we are meeting friends for a picnic at the park - different park to fri so a little variety.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Tescos delivered food this morning as i just couldn't face shopping with the kids all moaning. Will still do the odd bit here and there but main shop now done. Just returned from the park - what a lovely day it turned out to be. The mums from school met up and the kids got to play, took picnics and blankets and all had fun. Only downside is at this park there is no shade so it was very hot - nice but also nice to be home in the cool.
Last night OH mentioned about changing jobs. The company he works for has many contracts and the one he is on he likes as it is based 5 min walk from home. Well one of the actual workers at this site is retiring very soon as OH is going to ask for his job. Better hourly rate and holiday plus safety equipment (which he is not currently supplied with even though its the law!) and uniform. OH and the boss seem to get on really well so you never know. He would save money on petrol as always walking to work plus have a better lorry apparently. He said he will ask tonight when he gets back in the yard so fingers crossed.
Looking at money at the end of this month as have definitely spent over budgets this month and really need to stop the extra shopping. Thought if i did do the main shop online that might stop the at least 1 impulse extra shop - guess we will see. Hubby being awkward when it comes to food - doesn't want chicken, pork or veg meals and not mince - find it doesn't leave much. Also no pasta as he is having this at lunch, but when asked what he would like he does not know! So helpful as i don't eat fish and cant have pizza every day. Need to do the meal plans though or things spiral out of control.
Anyway tomorrow is niece for the morning only, then swimming lesson for DD. So might get a few bits done around the house. My sister is here for the rest of the week - staying at dads down the road - so we will be spending some time with her and her husband - going to do a treasure trail around local town and possibly something to eat whilst there. Fri will be bbq at dads so good few days plannedMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Good luck to your OH for the new job - hope he gets it! And good luck to you on finding something he will eat! Sounds like when I had my cousin staying with me - she was trying out being a vegetarian but she didn't actually like any vegetables.
Sounds like you have some nice days planned - hope the weather backs you up. Have fun!Mortgage (original/ current):193,000 (23/09/11)/ £102,500 (07/11/2019)

Thanks mouche - the weather was lovely yesterday but seems a little cloudier today. Were having a restful day today after all of the busy days so far. Kids are tired and therefore grumpy so we definitely need a slow day. Sent OH off to work with a big pack lunch box of homemade goodies and he will just have to put up with whatever i serve him for dinner as its just too awkward otherwise. We finished off our potatoes from the garden last night - feels great that we managed a few meals from them.
Car is making lots of strange noises at the mo - OH took a look sat and apparently the brake discs are warped and the pads are not looking good. There was a lot of rust / build up on them and OH got most of it off so now at least they can turn! Sounds a little better but i dont plan on going very far before he changes them. Guess the trip to the zoo is on hold for the time being!

Evening SLM, how did DH get on with asking about the job?
My car is due the service, MOT and gawd knows what else within the next week and it's also started making some strange noises so I'm not hopeful really. Reminds me I must get DH to book it in this week if possible as the MOT runs out next week ! Hope you get yours sorted soon. I was debating getting zoo tickets for the year as it will be the last year we can do this before we move from the area but I just don't know if it's worth doing as we have been literally hundreds of times over the last few years and the kids get bored very quicklylol xx

Hi DFW, OH has asked about job but they dont like to poach from contractors but will still consider him. OH is going to ask his current boss if he would mind if he applies so no-one gets grumpy! Turns out the job wont be available until march time anyway so he could always go elsewhere temping for a few months if needed but i would rather he stays put for now.
Not coming to your zoo this time but the one the other direction as its less hilly! Hoping we wont need to take buggy then plus its slightly closer. We will go but maybe closer towards the end of the hols. Tomorrow is library day plus may go to local museum as i have been saving loyalty points and have enough for a free drink each - yayMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Ahh I hope dh's current boss is understanding enough to allow DH to go elsewhere without causing rifts, it sounds like a better deal for you as a family! Our day tomorrow is much the same as yourswe've no local museums that we like though
so we're doing library and nature reserve instead (pleaseeeeeee don't rain!):D

Not made it to town yet as kids are being complete monsters as they are still tired! None of them would stay in bed this morning and now we are paying for it!
Have misplaced my pouch with vouchers in so cant have free drinks at museum and also cant find my purse i keep all cards in so no library visit for the moment. Think i may hide in my bed and wait for the day to be over.
Off to clear up and hopefully find lost items and keep kids from killing each other!
Sorry for the miserable post - hope everyone else is having a better dayMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19
