SAHM paying off debts slowly

It wasn't the best day but thankfully those since have been much better. Today we have done our common wealth games and the kids enjoyed that - only really took an hour or so but as we have niece today that was as long as we could do due to her nap and also not letting go of me!
We went to the museum yesterday and had our free drink plus i treated them to a cake each - not a great selection but something for everyone. Played nurses with the play equipment in the new display there - WW1 nurses. i looked like a mummy lol. looking forward to niece going home at 6 so i can actually do something. Need to make pizza dough for dinner at some point.
kids currently got half of each bedroom downstairs making camps - house a state but they are keeping themselves busy and dare i say not arguing at the mo!Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Well niece is asleep so pizza dough on - forgot i had run out of bread dough so hoping the plain flour will do for today? Washing out of dryer and quick clean of kitchen. Not sure how much longer i will have but legs are twitching so not long i fear. My brother is insiting on paying for looking after her so told him he can pay for my gym membership (£27 per month) so i can get fit - summer clothes are feeling very tight but determind not to spend anymore on clothes so the only other option is to be good and exercise. Although we have been out most days i havent done the school run walks everyday and sure they help with the weight. Oh well membership is now here and i can get swimming and down the gym as soon as the induction has been booked.
Got a couple of sun newspapers yesterday so can buy lots of fruit and veg between now and Sunday. We treated ourselves to some raspberries, grapes and melon along with a few salad bits with first coupon. Cant believe they are doing it again as it must have cost them a fortune last time.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Is that the vouchers with mr m?
How did the pizza dough turn out? I think I've used plain flour before when bread flour has run out, can't remember if it was ok though lol!

Pizza not so great - more of a thin and crispy than deep pan. Definately not up to my usual standards. Never mind bread flour on the shopping list for next weekMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Its payday and i have £1.09 from last week. I feel as though i have gone off the rails with the budget and the bank is showing this. I dont have anything to show for it though. Seriously need to get back on track or we will be in all sorts of troubles again. I have looked at the holiday budget and should in theory have enough to keep us going until they go back to school. I put £75 in budget for school uniform and new bits. I realise this is a lot but wanted to make sure there was enough - I have done some virtual shopping with Mr T and it looks like it will be around £40 so a saving there to go into another pot - although i am tempted to save this for shoes as towards the end of last year DS was going through the soles in his school shoes in about 6 weeks. Also his trainers need replacing so perhaps i will just replace them and keep it in the uniform envelope until needed. OK so just added trainers for DS and DD and it brings it to £58 - Still a small saving on budget
Today we are not going anywhere and have cancelled play date at the local park as we were expecting storms again - although lovely blue skies at the moment - typical - anyway we are doing kids bedrooms today as i can barely get to clothes in DD's room and i can not get past doorway in DS's room. They are awful so i though a little spring clean would do no harm - not sure they agree but it really needs to be done. I love having kids home for the holidays but i do not love the mess they make!
Tomorrow we are off to the forest to hunt for the Gruffalo again with friends. They are driving so i will offer to pay for parking - it will be £11 i think for the day. It seems a lot for parking but i guess we will be amused all day. Really hope it stays dry or it will not be great fun - fingers crossed everyone. In fact we are out and about most of this week - not sure we chose the right week to spend outside. Right i better go and supervise as it does not sound like cleaning going on upstairs lol Have a great week everyoneMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Just finished my online food order for the week and managed to get almost £10 taken off in vouchers - i love vouchers lol This means that i have £24 left in the budget for petrol. I will need it as we have several trips out this coming week - have a little in the tank left but waiting for the red light to ping on
Yet again we have done loads this weeks. As i mentioned mon was bedroom cleaning - hard going but eventually we could see carpets again - unfortunately they have disappeared again but at least i know they are there. NSD other than ordering uniforms which was budgeted for.
Tue was our trip to the forest. It was a great day especially as it was a NSD. Our friends dad must have worked for something to do with the forest and now has a free pass to get in so no entrance/ parking charges. My friend drove so also free travel and then she treated us all to a pub dinner. I tried to pay but she was having none of it as it was her idea so she should pay apparently. I will get the next one though. Kids ate free - well 2 of them did. We really did have a fun packed day and will go again - well worth the parking fee plus kids gave me a lie in till 9 - first time this hols as they were exhausted.
Wed - we had niece in the morning and so went into town to do library challenge and a few other bits. DD then had swimming lesson and my dad came to watch which was a nice treat. He has also agreed to take kids to dentist for me so i don't need to go - he was always the one to take us as mum was afraid to. I always go dizzy even if its not my teeth being looked at. Again a NSD.
Thurs we went to sister in laws for a play date - there we quite a few of us and they had hired a bouncy castle for the day. The weather wasn't great and there were a few heavy showers but we hid under the gazebo until it stopped. They had new trampoline too so kids amused themselves all day. We all took a few plates of food each and had a nice picnic lunch. We had intended on going swimming but as the kids were having so much fun we have postponed it until next week - NSD other than food bits.
Fri - Another day with niece and again we spent most of it at the park - she doesnt cry so much when out! - we met some of the ladies from playgroup and had yet another picnic - it started to rain so we decided it was time to leave. She has cried most of the time when with us as she is not used to leaving her mum, but this was the first day that she appeared happy so think we are improving - Another NSD
Today was swimming for DS. He is doing really well in his new class and i dont think it will be long before he is moved up again. We then had a walk up town and went to library for book 5 out of 6 - were nearly there lol. This afternoon the older 2 went to a party at the local social club with nana - they had a fab time and came home full of beans and faces painted. Whilst they were at the party youngest DD - who was not old enough for the party - and i went to meet some other friends at the soft play centre as it was her sons bday today. I ended up paying £1.50 for her to play as friend gave me some of the total money back. She too had great fun. I treated us all to fish and chips as i really wasn't in the mood to cook - guess i couldn't manage a whole week without spending anything!
Wow i have rambled a lot - sorry but its just been really fun and i have some amazing friends who have wanted to treat me and the kids this weekMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19
