Oh you should have gone to the £2 spa shm. I would love some alone time without work, OH or LO to worry about! But super savings on the fruit and veg - that was really organised of you!Mortgage (original/ current):193,000 (23/09/11)/ £102,500 (07/11/2019)

Mouche - it really was tempting but hey sure i will win the 3 month membership so will save my money lol. I was very happy with the amount of veg and fruit i got actually and will get more either tomorrow or sun. Would like some mushrooms and might treat kids to grapes and strawberries. The strawberries that i am growing are doing really well. They are getting bigger but def still very green. Should have a good crop though.
Still working on summer holiday plans - got some survey money going into paypal any day now so that will go to the holiday fund. Should be £20 extra to add so can allocate that to the trip to the zoo. Only 13 school days to go - may start a little countdown for the kids to tick off. Found a site where i can print out handwriting sheets for free. Both the older 2 need to work on this. Also found a site that has quotes for kids so thought perhaps if they do a quote per day its not too much but will still be enough to help plus DD may take some of the quotes on board and think about them. Still not watched the dvd's i have yet to see if suitable as OH been home really early all week - i really do need some time in the evenings for me. Oh well i guess if he was away all the time too i still wouldn't be happy lol.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Very proud mummy tonight as reports came home and they were extremely good. Confirmation that DS passed his phonics and also that he has improved in every area. DD too has shone this year without unwanted friends putting her down. both teachers also mentioned how fantastic the work at home was so a gold star for me too in some small way although i only come up with the small idea and they adapt and do the work. Very very happy today that all the effort and nagging i do to do the work and reading and homework really does pay off in the end:)Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Well an eventful weekend here. On the way home from work on friday OH's van conked out and he needed to be towed to the local garage. £250 later and its working again. Luckily his friend is the mechanic so we have paid half this week and half next week. Freezer is looking a lot emptier than last week and i am very proud we managed to eat out of it all week with just a few extras added to it. Not much worth mentioning in there as of this morning, but then my friend mentioned she was needing to defrost her freezer and was planning on chucking the food out that she knew she wouldnt cook as she prefers fresh food. So i now have pork loins steaks x 4, 1 whole chicken, meatballs x 10 and 18 x skinny sausages. Just bought rolls for the week and yoghurts to keep pack ups going. Made some very dodgy looking jam tarts yesterday after making the pie for dinner. Will make some muffins and flapjacks to keep kids happy too. OH is taking his pasta to work so we will see how that goes. Perhaps the fact he has no money will help with his light bulb moment which he still hasn't really had lol
DD has won a competition to make her own bear - like build a bear - in a comp that i entered so that will be another treat come the summer holidays. I haven't told her yet but know she will be very happy.
As OH couldn't do what he had planned he suddenly announce he would paint our bedroom (we've had the paint for ages!). This is totally out of the blue and i have lived with a half painted bedroom for 3-4 years now. Sat he set to work painting after i tried to empty our very crowded room at a minutes notice lol. Got it all the same colour and looking good but called it a day when he was 1 coat from the end. I have new curtains and a curtain pole (birthday pressie at least 3 years ago) to go up so curtains removed. We slept on the sofabed and cleaned up. Sun am we went to see Nana as we hadnt visited in ages and we all enjoyed our morning. Anyway he really wasnt up for it when we got home but eventually went upstairs to paint. He then stomped down saying the rollers we wet still - swear he helped it with water from bathroom! - so he couldnt finish it today - so another night on the sofabed. Its so close to being finished it is really frustrating but he wont let me finish it. I am hoping he is home tonight to get the last coat on and curtain poles sorted so we can get back in our bed tonight.
Hope everyone is having a lovely sunny dayMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

DFW - its a start those NT passes - have you managed to use them much? I like to plan for everything - its my thing i guess lol - plus it lets me avoid the cleaning and studying that i am supposed to be doing. Feel free to use any ideas you see if they are suitable.
Not sure if i mentioned it earlier but were going to have our very own mini common wealth games as it will be starting soon. There will be many little games throughout the day. one game for example is who can put the most cherios (or tesco own brand hoops lol) on kebab stick in 30 secs with one hand. Might make some medals or just get my star stickers out for the winners. Another game is throw beanbags onto paper plates at various distances away. Each plate has a different number on and the winner is the one with the highest score (maths practice too lol). Pingpong ball on a spoon race. Pingpong balls into a flower pot. Load of ideas really plus most can be done inside if raining!Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

OK all are at school and nursery today so will use my time wisely today and try and get a few things sorted.
* Find pressie in box for DD's friends party
* Washing on and hung out if it still looks sunny
* Dishwasher unloaded and loaded
* Quick clean of the kitchen
* Quick sweep and clean in the lounge
* Dare to open the junk cupboard under the stairs and start sorting through it
Think the last one on the list will take several days as there is so much in there but it really needs doing. Hoping to put a few things on fb selling pages or ebay today to clear and raise funds
Busy busy but need to get sorted. 12 more school days to goMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

I got sorted just about yesterday but as soon as kids were home it looked like i had been sat on my bum all day!
Off to swimming lessons in a half an hour so thought i would update. OH has taken lunch with him for 1 day but today decided he would be passing his favorite cheap stop so would get food there! I really cant help him if he wont stick to it. Still sleeping on the sofa bed as curtains still not put up and last coat still not done. I know it will only taken an hour or 2 to finish at the most but also know OH is not good at finishing things he starts. Might ask him about letting me do the last coat tomorrow so i can get room back in order and therefore the whole upstairs cleaned as the bits from our room is still in kids room and on landing. Only 3 more kids free days to go and still lots more to to in that time. Had nursery committee meeting today and as usual the same 4 people turned up as everyone else was suddenly busy. very seriously thinking of resigning next term as being relied on far too much now. Suprisingly they dont need our help - unlike last year - for the carnival float and then its just one more fete stall for this year. The nursery is split over 2 sites and we are the new site. It has become very obvious that its a them and us situation so today we decided as it was only us that ever turned up for the fundraising anyway we would have 2 committees. At least it will be our nursery that benefits from all of our efforts. They can look after themselves. So i think i will sort out a new bank account and start using that for ours.
Chicken curry tonight using chicken from the freezer and pasta for the children as DS is out tonight so he is being fed - he wont eat pasta or curry.
Found out the date i start looking after my niece - her mum goes back to work on fri 25th - so we will have her every friday. Dont think she really wants to go back but my brother is very keen for her to. I have my DD off from nursery anyway so she will just tag along with us and will have to learn how to play alone whilst i am doing what i need to do - she's only young but needs to be held or occupied constantly at the mo - she will soon learn lol. I never had that with mine - i could always put a load of washing on for example knowing they were playing happily.
Anyway must think about going although DD is on a go slow today!Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Hi everyone - its like autumn here rather than summer - windy although not as bad as last few days and cold - wearing jeans and jumper - just not right. Anyway been to playgroup this morning and tried to wear DD out but she has still not fallen asleep - can see she needs to but she just wont give in lol. Had to buy milk, bread and cheese. Glad i did as i forgot to make OH his lunch and know he is down to about £2 left in his pocket. He dropped off his container accross the road from us so i ran over with a cheese and cucumber sandwich, a packet of crisps and a cup of coffee. He was very grateful as been awake since 4am with no food.
Still on the sofa bed - need say no more! really want it done but know moaning wont help.
Started on understairs cupboard yesterday and threw 4 black bags out of bits. It really is a junk cupboard but that needs to change plus i know in there somewhere there are some bits that i need for the summer. Found the paddling pool and the aeroplane kits from last year plus a few more bits. Think i will have another go next tue when i am by myself again. By that point upstairs should be sorted.
Need to get some ribbon for teachers gifts as i am not joining the majority and donating anything up to £10 for each teacher. My gifts and cards for the 4 people that i am buying for total around £5. That compare to the £20 ish they wanted is a little different. My gift is not much but its the thought that counts and i am sure they will appreciate it.
Freezer looking bare but its pork loin steaks tonight with mash and veg - DD at party so she is being fed. Really not much leeft at all so will need to figure out what i need to buy for next week.
Ok better start getting going to schoolMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19
