Welcome - it has been a great idea in our household so far - each morning my DD who is almost 7 is coming up with lots of ideas so even if i hadnt jotted a few bits down she would have had some ideas as well. It worked out perfectly that we only do it on week days and we stopped whilst on our weeks hol. Perfect amount of time to fit it in.
Today is J day so jelly, jam, jewels (making crowns with jewels on) jump rope. All free bits as i have everything i need :) Need to go to shop to buy squash (juice) so that might stop the moaning about the short walk we will have to do.

Well i have heard that my AP delivery will be here between 10.51 and 11.51 with dave and also between 12.35 and 1.35 with Glenn. Now can i assume one is wrong or they have just put one box on each of the delivery drivers vans? Seems a little silly to me but thats just me :) Its sad but i am quite excited.

Anyway off to write shopping list an meal plan for now til start of school. Hope everyone has a good day - the sun is shinning - It will we good, it will be good :)

Well i am so impressed by AF so far - although only have 1 out of the 2 boxes at the moment. According ti the paperwork i have saved over £95 from the RRP. It was packed really nicely and all products so far have looked in great condition.

I thought i had used them before but i am now thinking i must have used a different company - they just threw the products in the box and several of the lucky dip box tins were rusty so i never used them. AF are much better, but obviously we have only had half the order so far!

Right on another subject has anyone tried frozen mince? I am wondering if it might be a better option as i can use as much as i need without defrosting a whole block first - i do tend to freeze it in portion sizes but occassionally i need a little less or more. Going to work out costs but if anyone has experience of it can they let me know their opinions please :)

OK 2nd box arrived and i now have a nice selection of bits. Need some fresh bits but as no money til monday we will have to squeeze last bits out of what i have - need to find my voucher pocket file as i have some free milk coupons and bits that we could really use this weekend. Was hoping tax credits would be paid today as last friday i got them but it looks like its gone back to a monday again. Got quite a few bits on my shopping list so far and my meal plan is getting there. Will finish that off this evening as OH not home tonight. He is getting really fed up at work and thinking of looking around. On one hand it may mean he gets better pay as hourly rate is quite low but on other hand his job is quite secure - well as secure as any job can be really. He has been working for the past 16 years and has only just realised that taking hol means less pay - sometimes i really do wonder if he will ever get money. Yes dear you have to account for less pay for this week we took off on holiday, but in the next breath he says we should stay at sisters for 2 weeks next year? Now has he figured out that would mean we would be down another weeks worth of pay?

I used to pack cards from home with a local company - OH mentioned i should do this again - I stopped because i spent the week packing with boxes everywhere and probably only made about 20-25 per week. At the time it was not worth it. Think it would be like Avon spending all my time working for very little money and then also not getting any time with the children. Plus with a very active toddler into everything i think it would be impossible to keep everything neat and ordered. Might go over to the extra income threads and see if there is anything i can try.

After searching and searching and a little more searching i have finally found my voucher folder - it was stuck down the back of the radiator and i struggles getting it out - think littlest DD may have had something to do with that!

Anyway got some free bits and some money off milk coupons that i can use - were off to deliver DD to party at the cinema so will hang around town until she needs collecting - will get milk and squash and potatoes for dinner. If funds allow might get some mince so we can have cottage pie tomorrow for dinner - really fancy a cabbage too as already have carrots and peas and sweetcorn in freezer so can have abit of a variety this week. Still not finished the meal plan but got several days done so will go with that for now.

Well i went shopping with my limited funds and got mince potatoes and cabbage - also picked up my asda order i made for school bits - DD shoes are way too big so will need to send those back for a different size. Had some boots vouchers so as a treat i got 2 bottles of coke and the change from my vouchers was given in cash even though sales assistant said it would have to go on voucher card thingy. I realise it was more than i normally pay but it was free vouchers from survey . My DD will be 2 in nov and she is currently mastering the tantrumming - the kind where you fall to the floor and kick legs whilst screatching. Thankfully we are now putting kids to bed as i know there are several tired children

Well once kids were in bed it was a lot quieter yay - peace. Anyway as i got my printer working again so have been printing out vouchers for all sorts. Now i just need to match them to what i need and what i can also get for free. Think i may need to go to bed before long as i think were off up town to museum tomorrow for a little picnic - well normal lunch just eaten outdoors. Were having cottage pie tomorrow with AP sauce so hoping it will taste nice. Night night everyone :)

OK a little bit of mumy time as neighbours have taken all of my kids to the park. I am really struggling with insperation for the meal plan. I have been looking on several threads and even if i like the sound of something it is the not knowing if OH will be home so do i really bother cooking as no doubt kids wont eat it and will go without until i serve some kind of breaded option with chips! What to do hey. I guess i can plan for him being here and then just use his portion for freezer ready meals - still feel kids will be hungry as i have let them get away with far too much for too long - my fault i know but how i train DS to eat things other than fishfingers, sausages and nuggets?

Sorry i am starting to moan again now. Need to blitz house as i havent done that much this week and it is showing. I would be embarassed to let friends in at this rate. Right must get up off the sofa :)

Well just as money problems were getting to the point of very bad again (still there really) we have had some good news. OH van insurance is all paid until begining of Oct. Yay - we thought his DD just hadnt been taken out but actually it wont and by then he will probably have new van to insure anyway - will be doing a swap with bloke at work so wont cost anything - anyway thats £100 odd pounds per month that i can now have extra towards the bills which is very much needed at the moment. Have told OH to not even bother looking for a car for me. He is doing swimming along side nana and although it would be helpful i dont need one for day to day life - we cant afford it so why try and make it worse. Only prob is DS has several hospital appointments in oct so i guess we will just have to get bus and train maybe - still work out cheaper than a car.

We are hoping to get garden ready for planting veggies this weekend too. At least we may have some veg come winter that wont cost us too much - need dad to bring over some horse manure i reckon to help get soil into some kind of good condition. My only concern is that veg plot is right at the top of our property and i have this feeling that some might disappear as its right on the roadside and people around here dont worry about 'borrowing' things. I will be gutted if after all the effort our veg gets taken one day when were not looking.
