Anyone that can give me any opinions please - weight watchers or slimming world. I seriously need to loose a lot of weight and i know doing it on my own at home does not work. Being looked at in a bad way if i put on weight, will encourage me to keep going.

Looks like they are similar in price - hoping that by paying for the classes it will also spur me on - well thats the plan :)

I have tried ww at home and for me it didn't work as it was like rebelling against the points. My best friend does sw every now and again and I think it works for her. I was thinking about sw as they say you should never be hungry, which is one of my downfalls

Thanks for your opinion - i think SW is cheaper :) I agree with you i really dont have any sucess at dieting alone at home. My problem is eating whilst bored / alone - especially whilst OH not home. Got about 5 st to loose so its going to be a long haul

  • i've never tried WW but it works for a few friends...but they've said only if they go to class they can't seem to stick to it at home. I lost two stone after having ds2 at SW, -have put a stone of it back on grr!- but found it very easy and you can eat loads!! Again though i did it at a class and when i've tried it at home i don't stick to it :o

Well this morning i have joined SW and although i now have to pay for the classes i am determind that it will work. I have about 4 1/2 stone to loose - maybe 2lb per week - by xmas i may be slim lol. I realise it may not be that easy but it gives me something to work towards. Not told OH yet as i expect he will complain its a waste of money and he will end up eating rabbit food but i need to do this and will be happier with myself hopefully at the end of it :)

Thanks for your opinions DFW i will need a kick up the bum every now and again i expect if you dont mind :) Now off to see what to eat today

  • If you stick to plan you can lose quite a bit in the first few weeks :) i lost 6 lb first week, 3lb second week and then it was 1-2 lb (and sometimes stayed same but never really put on whilst on it :D) good luck xx

I am certainly going to try my best - want a nice loss for my 1st week and then hopefully keep going. Now about to see if i can log on online - they use fancy credit card things to store details on so i can easily log on - very fancy :)

Evening all feeling a little low as really have no money to spare at all. Car exhaust has broken and needs fixing - i hate cars, they are sooo expensive - feel like gettig rid and walking everywhere, it is just some journeys are soo much easier in the car.

I also realised that even though i have more than i need possesion wise but i still feel that i need more - eg would love an ipad or something similar. It is far far out of my reach and there are many more things that will come before such extravagance but why cant i be happy with what i have. I also cant stop spending (although have made a concious effort not to go to charity shops as i always spend in them) - nothing big but food shopping etc. I have cupboards full of bits but still buy more. Feel like even though i have started sorting my monies out i am still a long way from feeling good about it. Sorry just feeling a little sorry for myself today - should be happy as sun has been out (at last), but face now sunburnt :(
