SAHM paying off debts slowly

Washing machine on, dishwasher on, oven currently cooking muffins and flapjacks fot this week. I have just taken this weeks meter readings (obviously not done this in a while as the website i put them on has changed so much it took me a while to get my head round it). About to find laminator so i can do some bits for kids - its in the junk cupboard under the stairs and i know when i remove something the whole lot will fall on me. That is my job before xmas - to get it sorted so i can actually find bits and perhaps use it for what it was ment for rather than a hiddy place.
OH peed me off last night as went to the pub at 4pm and didnt come home until half 11. We have no money dear - mortgage payments are more important that beer. I dont mind him having a few drinks or a night out occassionally but he went out sat night to racing and then last night to darts. I had cooked a nice meal with pudding lol and that went in the bin this morning. I do feel that i will never get through to him.
OK i cant put it off any longer - junk cupboard here i comeMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Good morning all. Busy few days but really not a lot to show for it. Well we finally have a car - not the original one OH was on about - and it works
Its not the prettiest of cars and has dents in the front wing and a crack in the bumper but engine seems ok so thats all that matters. It runs out of tax at the end of this month so i need to find the money for that. With a lot of tweeking i have manage to raise the finds and it only leaves us a littele short. To be honest it was really nice driving again and i have missed it but it will only be used for essential journeys as we cant afford to waste expensive petrol - on the plus side we we receive a refund at the end of the insurance policy as it was cheaper than last car.
Kids had their eye tests yesterday - the lady said she would not make up perscription as it was so weak but as daughter has been suffering with sore eyes after reading i might get them to make it up and see it that works. Son has speech therapy later today then both the older 2 are off to nanas until sat morning when they drop them off for swimming so i will have some peace and quiet. DS room will be cleared of toys and non essentials as he is having problems even trying to tidy and there are only so many times that i can tidy day after day and have everything emptied out. All his boxes are going to my dads for a few weeks until he realises i will not keep doing it - maybe a little harsh but nothing else working at the moment.
Appart from car tax i have nothing to pay for the next few days so hopefully manage on whats left in my purse (£4.52). Tried to get tax but printed out the wrong insurance - how very stupid - and then got soaked in the downpour.
Right off to clean house top to bottom and get overnight bags ready - have a great dayMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Hello and happy 1st of September. I am deciding now that its going to be a great month and now i have written it it will have to come true lol.
We have a car with car tax, a positive balance in the bank account even if its not much, food in the cupboards and were all healthy - so not a bad startHave decided that we will not have takeaway of any kind this month and put any money towards bills. We normally have fish and chips or chinese once a month out of OH money but this month we will meal plan and i will try not to be lazy and unprepared which is what normally results in takeaway.
Tomorrow is roast chicken which means monday will be chicken curry so thats 2 days sorted. Only thing we need is a few bits for pack up but may try to eek things out - thay can have popcorn instead of crisps etc ( got loads of popping corn to use up). Want to start making good use of fruit and veg market stalls as they have some decent deals going on.
Tomorrow i need to get everything in place for school - we have it all but i want all bags packed and uniforms ready in correct places and all named by the end of tomorrow so we can enjoy the last few days doing something free and fun.
My DD was talking to her friend the other day about money as her friend was moaning about not having the new purse she wanted. My DD turned around and said "My mummy doesnt have much money but she always finds really fun things for us to do that dont cost anything. We always have loads of fun and i am really lucky mummy can do this for us" I thought that was so lovely when my friend told me. I do hope she remembers this when she is older and wanting the latest new item - its not necessary to have names on clothes and shoes and the latest games handset etc.
Need to find swimming course money by 12th of this month which is earlier this month - was hoping to use DD birthday money for hers but birthday is not until 26thWill have to scrimp and save and hopefully get it all as well as the rest of the bills.
Right i must think about going to bed - hope we all have a great septMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Good morning all - spent a little yesterday on diet coke for me and a cauliflower (sp?) from lidl for our dinner. It was really yummy and lots left over for curry tonight. I did the chicken in the slow cooker but think i cooked it too long as i couldnt get it out very well as it kept falling apart!
All sorted for school now - everything named and ready - will just need to do pack lunches tomorrow night ready then its all go wed morning:)
Had my avon manager lady onto me about getting my balance cleared so i can have my next order - then told her again i am not doing it anymore and the box is on its way to clear balance so nothing to sort - she wanted to come round at 9 this morning to sort it out on the phone - i think not - i have quit!
We might pop to the local woods today for a run around (Free yay) and meet up with friends. Apparently there are some areas that are great for blackberry picking - not sure if they will be ready yet but will be good to see where abouts they are ready - i love homemade blackberry and apple crumble with custard and its even better when you can pick it all for free.
Well today it Z day of our alphabet holiday. We are looking at zoo animals and i have printed some posters out for each child and they can colour those in later. We might do some ziplock bag painting / squishing. not sure what to eat so it might have to end up being zoo shaped mash with sausages as they wont eat curry with us tonight - think i have an elephant biscuit cutter i can use to shape things
Right must go and do some work i guess. Have a great day everyone xMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Good morning to you all. Its been busy and both older kids have gone to school this morning. My friend and i celebrated by going for breakfast at the local museum - it was her treat as i looked after her dog the other weekend whilst they were away. Needed some night time nappies and spent my boots vouchers so nothing to pay there. I also claimed my free coke by using my vouchers so all in all a good morning. Cant believe its already lunch time and this afternoon will soon fly by - hope my DS is behaving at school but sure he will be loving it. Right back to work and must get some lunchMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

3 children and an OH for sale anyone want? OK for free? Having a really low day. Nothing in particular just everything everyone does is getting right on my nerves and no one is listening to me today. On top of that i have tooth, neck and head aches which are probably all realated. Cant wait to wake up in a better mood tomorrow.
Sorry for negativity but hoping that someone might listen / read today xMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Hi slm
Sorry I have not been on since your last post - I hope things feel much better now.
I always think of you as you live in the town closest to my little village.
Without prying too much do you think the feelings you had the other day are connected to your periods?
I know that the week leading up to my period everybody and everything would pee me right off and then I would get moody and shout at everyone.
I have started taking Agnus Castus (and so has DFW but not sure how she is getting on) - this stuff is amazing!!!
I am sailing through life on a cloud with nothing to annoy me:rotfl:
I have always suffered from PMT and I never really realised how bad it was, then I read an article about it and agnus castus was mentioned. It helps to regulate your hormones (also good for people trying to conceive who have irregular periods).
My periods were also really heavy and a bit all over the place but my god the difference since taking these are amazing.
I brought mine from the dispensary at the doctors for £6.90 - hang on I will just go and see how many I got .....
...I'm back - I got 60 tablets which are 1000mg each (you can get liquid form) and I take 1 a day.
Sorry to ramble on especially if it is not connected to your periods.
Even if it isn't it might help to take them.
Hope the kids are ok now they are back at school0 -
Hi there Eagle Elephant and thank you for your advice. I dont know when i am due on as now on injection pill and dont have regular periods anymore. Never suffered like this before if it is? Which little village are you from if you dont mind me asking?
Anyway after a lot of grovaling from OH things have returned to normal even though the main reason for my outburst still remains unsorted - you would think he would learn. One thing i did learn was that OH is actually capable of putting his clothes away in the wardrobes by himself. Normally i do this for him, plus he can also get the next days clothes out ready too - again i mother him too much and normally do it as he can never find anything! He has tried to buy me food / takeaways to cheer me up but i said no we are not having takeaways this month! He did then buy me some choccy and told me to run a nice bath while he put the kids to bed - he never does this normally. Now thinking i need to have a strop a little more frequently!
Anyway back to money. Not doing too bad spending wise. Only had low spend days. My bank rang me today as they expected a fraud payment had been made and sure enough someone was trying to buy something with my details. Not sure how they got them as i am very careful with that sort of thing. Anyway card is cancelled and i will get new card in around 7 days.
I am thinking this will be a good thing as i can no longer spend money. I am wondering if i should take some cash out over the counter (with id apparently) for the weekend just in case and if not used put it back on monday. I just dont want to be stuck not being able to get money out when banks not open. DD's shoes went missing at after school club today - really not sure how but never mind - teachers were all very appologetic even though not their fault. I am sure someone will look in bag and realise they have an extra pair of shoes and return them - hopefully sooner rather than later - but for school tomorrow it will be trainers and a talk with teacher to explain -'sorry DD is wearing trainers but schools shoes taken by someone at club last night and Debit card has been cancelled due to fraud so cant buy new ones, sorry'
Anyway off for a shower and bed i think. Its been a long dayMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Good morning to you all. Well an update - DD's shoes have been returned so all back to normal there - the mum was so sorry but i wasnt worried as it wasnt done on purpose and we got them back. I also took out £40 in case of an emergency and although i spent £3 the rest will go back in the bank until i need it. If i keep it i will only spend it on rubbish.
I need to make some bits for lunch boxes today but other than that we have enough food for a few days so no need to spend money there.
Car petrol light is glowing at me but again we dont need the car until the end half of the week so i guess i will get a few NSD's in this week:)
Yesterday we went to the local museum for the day - picnic in hand - as they were having a war day. Both the kids and i had a great day and learnt a lot about how they used to live. DS was most shocked at the number of sweets they had to last a month. They would have been gone in a week if left in his hands! Very good day out plus a lovely roast dinner when we got home - mainly from freezer. Freezer is half full now and i think once the cool packs have been removed that will be another chunk of stuff gone.Once down to minimum amounts i will defrost before i do a big shop at somewhere like farmfoods and bulk buy meat etc for winter.
Right must get off here and start doing the housework and baking. I hope you all have a great dayMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Wow where did september go? This year is flying by so fast. Not got long as got to take DS to hospital to see if he needs gromits in a little while. Not much to report really money wise - still struggling to make things go further but managing just about. Got quite a few free things recently - fabric conditioner, alcohol, fabric, food - all great with using coupons and getting deals quickly before they run out.
DD daughter is sad as her friends wouldnt play with her last week - no real reason apart from they had paired up and she didnt have anyone. Felt so sorry for her as she had also been moved in her classroom so was on a different table with non of her best mates. There were lots of tears and its the fact i cant really do much to helo that is the worse of it. Teacher now aware how unhappy she is so will keep an eye on things for this week.
Still waiting on some money that my mum owes me - this will pay off at least one debt and help towards a few more. I want to get these few bits paid off before xmas so its only credit cards and loans then and no personal loans - it just means tightening my belt a little more if it will go!
Hubby was saying today (as i transfered the money out of his account) that i get more money now but still are skint - i did tell him that we are now paying off what i had to borrow to make money up or the fact that everything is so expensive now compared to even just last year, but he just doesnt get it - one day maybe ?
Well must go change DD's nappy and then off to get DSMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19
