Still waiting for an answer to these 2 simple questions

The answers are at Get Out Of Debt Free. I invested weeks of my time researching that and other sites. I'm now reaping the benefits. I've suggested a simple, free method that you can use which seems to be effective in reducing the risk of parking tickets and clamping. If you do get a ticket or clamp and have not done the background research you'll be left floundering. So forgive me, but in your own best interests I'm reluctant to answer your questions in case I mislead you.

What I will say is that the info on the main site and the forums covers both types of ticket - but as I'm sure you appreciate there are differences so you'll need to read up.

The 3 day thing was one of the first things that came to my attention - months ago, can't remember where, but it makes a crucial difference with parking tickets, promissory notes and other commercial instruments - so far as I am aware (but don't trust me, take responsibility and do your own research) it is a critical time window when anyone offers to contract with you - or perhaps more correctly, when any corporate entity (includes councils, government, Ministry of Justice, etc.) offers to contract with you. Again, I must emphasise I am very far from being an expert, I'm just someone who has found these techniques useful, but I've also made a lot of mistakes. If you really want to know, ask on the GOoDF forum.

    Hope this helps.

    FACT! So do we...

For starters there is no legal clamping by private companies now and any private 'tickets' are b#ll#cks.

But we aren't fruitloops or Freemen of the land and all that carp.

    Hi Coupon-mad

Good point - but what I'm talking about is also effective with on-street parking and council pay-and-display car parks.

I love food. I've eaten everything from live limpets to sheep's eyeballs. But guess what the only food that makes me retch is? Spam fritters!

Sorry if you think I'm spamming - I guess I have overdone things a bit - my apologies. It's just that I didn't want my central message - that some of the things I've learned at GOoDF, and especially the parking notice, really work - to be drowned out by all the nay say responses.

It's not for you guys I keep coming back. It's for people with open minds who are willing to do the research and who will have the determination to follow through if they do use these techniques.

Another example of successfully fighting a parking ticket:

GOoDF Forum - Success Stories - Parking Ticket Cancelled

"I parked my van on a double yellow line, and got a parking ticket. I wrote asking them to cancel it as I was unloading !!!!! When I spoke to an old customer of mine who is in fact, a civil enforcement officer aka traffic warden who now drives those nasty CCTV smart cars, they said, just argue the ticket all the way, you were unloading as an excuse, ignore the fines mounting up, etc etc, and you'll receive a wad load of paperwork blah blah ( I rec'd 98 pages of waffle / pictures etc ) and 99.9 times if you take it all the way, you will get off with a don't do it again. I took the advice, and after a fair while I rec'd a nice letter from the council wiping the ticket. The person who gave me the advice said most people give in, rather than take it all the way."

Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

    Hi taffy

I honestly feel what I've learned on that other forum has benefitted me, and that it is potentially beneficial to the members of this forum. Where's the harm in that?

Sorry, I thought fora were conceived as areas of open discussion of information relevant to the members, and relevant to the topic. Obviously I'm wrong.

Can I ask, have you ever made a post with information about other sites, or - heaven forbid! - other fora?

Yes I have linked to pepipoo when its warranted, as in expert advice for council tickets. But that is besides the point, I am not spamming the forum, we often work in partnership as both sites have their uses. And people on here actually post regularly on there, and they post links to this forum also.

Thanks for the info on pepipoo - I've bookmarked it to take a longer look tomorrow. I could be doing them an injustice, but my initial impression is that it probably makes what I consider a mistake in it's initial approach - assuming that statute law is the only law. Well, it is if you accept it - but you don't have to accept it, you can reject statute law (on dry land at least) and opt for common law. That gives you far more rights and far more power, but is potentially much more difficult to deal with because it is not well known. I've found that other forum very helpful for Common Law. And I think MSE forum members could too. Just a thought.

You can reject statute law ?

Sorry but that's garbage, if you reject for example a council ticket for parking which is within statute you'll eventually will find bailiffs at your door , you'll find it pretty hard to ignore when they tow your car

And good night to you also

He's awful persistent for someone who doesn't care. He also has a lot of excuses for not giving any references to his sources. It couldn't be that there simply aren't any sources because it's all just woo-woo, oh no, perish the thought!

Don't you understand though taffy? You can reject statute law only on dry land. What this means is that if the bailiffs are after your car 'cos you didn't pay a penalty charge notice don't take the cross channel ferry.

But it's OK anyway, bailiffs cannot and will not touch your car if you've got your magic notice in the windscreen. It's the first thing they teach them at bailiffs' college. Didn't you know that?
