budgetflyer wrote:Its all very well getting a freebie hotel, but you really want to build it around some cheap flights. By booking the hotel first, and this early, you are limiting your options when the budget airlines bring their winter schedules out.
Hence I got my super cheap return flights to Milan first via Easyjet - £10.99 each way, per person, plus taxes. So it's £45 each, return from Gatwick - pretty good
Now just have to wait for the head office to confirm, it's already gone up to them, ideally Boris sent them the screenshot too.

Had an email now saying claim is valid and its gone to HQ, phew. 3 calls that took. how was Marrakech then? dear/cheap etc?0 -
Marrakech was fantastic - incredibly cheap and very friendly (including several shouts of 'Lovely Jubbley'!).
Stayed at the Kenzi Farah - despite some bad reviews on TripAdvisor I found it quite lovely - and I am very picky!
I would highly recommend it for a short break, including a day trip into the mountains. But go sooner rather than later (now! now! now!), it is gradually getting more commercialised, and I can see it being a very different place within a few years xGone ... or have I?0 -
Just a quick question for everyone, should it be ok to obtain a pricematch using https://www.superbreak.com?
It does seem to be ok, they dont charge extra for cc, room types gonna be the same. Has there been a claim made using superbreak in the past?
I really hope so, because due to EJH ignoring me regarding my lastminute.com problems, I may just bite the bullet, cancel and book another hotel. It would actually work out better for me, meaning a week stay in Majorca for a whole £13 odds, and I'd also have the great feeling of doing over EJH cos of their own ignorance of my initial claim0 -
Yes Bazcab, Superbreak were used for a stay in Edinburgh a few pages back.
God, whats it coming to when even Superbreak are kicking their a55.0 -
Bazcab I am tempted to do the same - book another trip and get as much out of them as possible!
Irony is that my claim is matched with Lastminute, but this isn't the point they are querying, it is the room type (which with the support of the hotel I am hoping I can resolve).
This could just run and run!Gone ... or have I?0 -
Thanks DMG & Budgetflyer.
DMG - I feel for ya, it's been a bit of a nightmare with the lastminute one, they wont authorise it cos lastminute charge for cc payments, though I know it has been approved for others in the past, there doesnt seem to be any consistency.
But yeah, It now looks like I have 2 I can "get" them on, Wahahahaha.
7 nights in Majorca costing £13, and also seen 2 nights in Edinburgh for £0. both through Superbreak0 -
