im gonna add Marrakech to my list for this year, wonder if there are any overpriced hotels?0 -
Kenzi Farah was, and the Ryad Mogador (though not nearly as nice as the KF).
I pricematched with Lastminute, and am still arguing with them about it. However, the credit card charge on Lastminute has not been mentioned, they are saying that the room types are different.
On EJH, the room type was 'Double'. On Lastminute, 'Double Garden View'. I have now forwarded EJH an email from the hotel manager stating that all rooms have a garden view.
I'm not giving up on this one ...
Next possibilities for me are Milan, Madrid or Barcelona ... or all three! xGone ... or have I?0 -
I am going to SCREAM!!!!
Have just rang EJH, as they are obviously ignoring my emails. They now state that, although the hotel manager has stated that all rooms have a garden view, their local agent says that this is wrong, and so they will not validate my claim. What?!!!
When I asked how to make a complaint, I got to told to email the usual address, but this time mark it 'Complaint'. Do they not realise that my recent emails have been complaints?!!
Now, if it comes to it, I will take them to small claims. Only problem is that their website does not state under which countries law it is governed.
In its t&c's it states two addresses: one for Hotelopia in Spain and one for Easyjet in the UK. Under 'About Us' it states that EJH is part of Hotelopia, which is actually part of First Choice Holidays?!!!
So, if it does turn out to be under Spanish law, with the whole EU thing do I have to challenge it here or there? I studied EU law but I just can't think! x
Edit: Looks like it can come under UK law if I aim my case at First Choice (after a few letters to their MD!). On the other hand, I may just book a few more trips (for everyone I know) and scam them for as much as possible!Gone ... or have I?0 -

Yes dmg24-dont get mad, get even.
I had a similar situ with the "Days Inn " guarantee. They said it was a diff room type-they only had 1 kind as I later found when actually at the hotel. Anyway, as they wouldnt honour the guarantee, I just cancelled the booking and booked via a diff site. I paid less, plus Days Inn would have had to pay commission too.
The lesson we can learn,is ALWAYS make sure the booking conditions are EXACTLY the same. Although they have paid out sometimes when the room type is maybe questionable, we really want to be CERTAIN b4 we book.
This makes it much harder to find results, but at least we know there can be no dispute.0 -
and always ensure the discount is agreed before the trip!0

I'll get my money back ... they'll just get so sick of me pestering them!
Things are never simple with me ... but they always come right in the end! xGone ... or have I?0 -
