just a note of caution be careful with alpharooms. EJH didnt pricematch with them cos there is different room types, although for arguments sake they are all the same, however this meant i have had to fork out 60p for a room but to someone else banking on a lot more, please beware.

Found the Venus Beach in Paphos with EJH for 380 GBP
Quick rooms £286.58
making 2x back £186.84
Means getting the hotel for £173.16

or found Riu Cypria Bay AI for 745 GBP
find rooms have it 644 AI
2x back makes it £543
or do they match Thomsons hotels/apartments

According to budgetflyer's excellent guide, Quick Rooms is a valid comparison site. I've looked and cannot see any reason why not.

Does Paphos come under any of the Easyjet destinations?

I'm getting that it does not, and therefore would not be eligible for double the difference. Sorry x

From their t&cs
easyJetHotels will not reimburse clients if the compared accomodation is not situated in a easyJet Airline destination, is part of a package, is shown in a currency different to that quoted by easyJetHotels, if the competitor rate is not offered by a UK bonded travel agency and/or if the rate is offered on a branded hotel chain website.

As you said Paphos isnt an EasyJet route so Saveapenny cant put in a claim.

Yeah, they've recently changed the terms of the guarantee to only cover EasyJet (the airline) destinations.

Did you have to hassle them to get the confirmation you just received?

I put my claim in 10 days ago, i received an e-mail 2 days later to say that it had gone to head office for confirmation. I received on wed an e-mail to say that i had been given a refund and it would go back in my bank up to 30 days after i had arrived back.

But there was no confirmation of the amount. I have e-mailed them everyday just get the amount verified, and that came through this morning.

I also have booked 2 rooms in my sisters name for us as well, we received an e-mail back 2 days later saying that we could have a refund, less £170.
I asked for a pricematch against travelrepublic, whom e/jet said didn't have 2 rooms available, i have disputed that and have sent them screen shots everyday to say that the 2 rooms are available but i've yet to hear back from them yet.
