I think I'm going to set a new record for the time it takes for a claim to be verified!

I got my 'your claim sent to head office' email on 14th Feb........12 days later and still no confirmation.

My first 'chase-up' email on 19th got a quick response - "we still haven't heard from head office"

I sent another email on Friday which has been ignored so I sent another to head office this morning and still no reply.

I've just phoned them - and been told it's still with head office

My booking starts a week on Wednesday so I'm getting really peed off now. The hotel is still available with travelrepublic for half the price I paid EJH.

I don't know what else I can do? Is it possible to speak to 'head office' on the phone?

They really are doing my head in now.

Have put in a new claim today (I booked Marrakech last month), am off to Paris for Easter!

Have just rang to confirm that they received my price guarantee claim (sent on the Contact Us form) ... no! Even though I have a 'Thank you for contacting us' confirmation from them.

I am now sending an email to a different address: customer@hotelopia.com.

Spoke to Lala ...

Muppetts ... or should that be Teletubbies?! x
Gone ... or have I?

Does it work with quickrooms?
Found the Venus Beach in Paphos with EJH for 380 GBP
Quick rooms £286.58
making 2x back £186.84
Means getting the hotel for £173.16

or found Riu Cypria Bay AI for 745 GBP
find rooms have it 644 AI
2x back makes it £543
or do they match Thomsons hotels/apartments

As mentioned, Cyprus doesnt count BUT all the Greek Islands do. Select Athens. Box below choose destination ie all islands or you can choose from a list. It clearly indicates, the DD guarantee in the search results.

Quick rooms should be OK for future price matches though

Theres no reason Thomson shouldn't be valid EXCEPT possibly if they charge a credit card fee. The way round this is either to add it on to your price claim (If you pay EJH with a CC) or simply pay EJH with a debit card, then they can have no argument whatsoever.

I Know what you are thinking Mandy, with these £1 and £2 rooms you keep finding, we could be on to a winner.
• There is no doubt that Easyjethotels are doing all they can to make claims invalid. Before I made my two bookings I emailed the competitors sites and asked if the rooms were the same and were they available. This proved invaluable in the case of one booking where Easy.... wanted to throw out my claim because they said the rooms were different. I then emailed the hotel and had another confirmation that the rooms were identical. Took me 11days but they had to honour the claim.

So folks do the preperation first and you will have them by the *****

• Can I just ask a quick question before I book - Is London classed as an Easyjet destination?
You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same

Yes Easyjet fly to London
Go to EJH select london + put in your dates, the search results should have a grey bar under each hotel saying they will refund double if you find it cheaper
