Thats how your typical chain travel agents still make money Mark1024 People just cant be bothered to put a bit of effort in for something that could be free.
" Oh we always book with Lunn Poly, they always find us something"

Ps how did you get on with Holiday Inn ?

Fair enough - This site is refreshing in so far as advice and help is free, but there are always people willing to pay for time and services. I've bitten the bug and saved hundreds of pounds in the last 6 mths. My partner still finds it almost unbelievable how much we save on just about everything.

Haven't stayed in Holiday Inn recently (more of a Travelodge guest...)

I am planning a trip to Costa Blanca or Costa Brava from 2 to 6 March. Could someone suggest a similar Hotel deal in/near Barcelona or Alicante.

    Regards,

  • Just returned from Madrid - Hotel Gaudi 4* - free break for 4 days. Thank you very much for a great post !!!

I noticed on East Midland's airport that "Alpha airport shopping" have also a "double the difference" policy, but I couldn't find any leaflet there, so I didn't buy anything.
I found it on their website later: http://www.alphaairportshopping.com/east-midlands-airport - Guarantee

I like the sound of this Alpha shops guarantee:p considering they have quite a few shops spread over the country we could be on another winner here:beer: you have 28 days to claim too.

I truly believe these guarantees, like the tesco r&r and easyjethotels dtd are just marketing ploys for lazy shoppers who will take them at their word.
    Not us though eh;)
  • Loving the thread...

I've tried Lisbon and Hamburg for a variety of dates with hotelscomparison but with no luck.

Has anyone got a list of the places where there are good matches.

A quick scan through the thread reveals most cities in Spain, Paris, Rome, Venice, Paris, Marseille and Amsterdam.

Has anyone had any luck with anywhere else?

    Eastern Europe, Germany, London, Ireland?

I don't mind searching for the deals myself - I just want to know the most likely cities I should try and hit - Ideally ones with good budget flights from the North or Midlands...

mmm... I had something similar when they blocked my account because i use the DD a lot of times. I found a DD deal and i write them an email to reclaim de DD, they don't answer me, I write again another email... nothing, I telephone them and then they gave me the bad notice, I hope that it is not your case

Still waiting. I have a lawyer friend who, having read the T & C's, believes my claim is sound. I am so determined to get this claim validated and if not .... watch this space.

    HTH.

Thanks matey, I have pm'd her to ask for some help.

My claim is really in the crapper right now.
They refuse to accept it at all, even though lastminute.com do not charge you extra for debit cards, my "friendly" advisor says it doesn't matter, the terms are not the same. I am close to breaking point with this!!!

Does anybody know of any email contacts that can be used to escalate claims as it seems I'm not gonna get anywhere with Elena!

Sincerely, how long time do you think that they are going to maintain this promotion in easyjethotels?

It seems rare to me that not yet they have eliminated it, they are losing much money with us.
